Pretty good Salvadorian/Mexican restaurant in Germantown. The place was pretty big inside and not a lot of people were there, so I was able to get the table right away. I ordered mix fajitas, paella Salvadorena, quesadillas, and some pupusas. All the dishes were pretty good and i really enjoyed the Salvadorian paella. Portions were huge! They also had a happy hour menu, so we got some Mexican beers go along with all the food we ordered. Service was just okay, she rarely checked on my table. I also noticed that a lot people order takeouts in this place.
We spent $500 in food and drinks. Until that point, all good. But the extra $185 gratuity we were forced to pay was completely unacceptable. The clients should decide how much we want to tip. The poor service definitely wasn't worth $185 (less than 2 hours) we won't be coming back because of this.
Everything was great until they gave us the bill. They added a 25% tip without even asking us.This is just ridiculous. No wonder everyone says you have to pay cash when you come to this place, now we know why…
I ordered delivery and everything I got was good. my favourite things were the plantain thing from the desert menu (can't remember the name, so sorry) and the bean and cheese pupusa. the tres leches was okay but the cake was kind of stiff. also, the horchata was delicious and I'd order again just for that.
I didn't try the food but I did try the tequila and it was good... Service was fast. Everything was fine.
Food was ok at best. The waiter lied to us on pricing and when we ask to speak to owner, he didn't even know the prices to his own restaurant. A bucket of Coronas is $34 plus they automatically add 25% gratuity and STILL asking for tip on top of that.Not worth the money. Never going back.
Well ,this is where you get nasty low quality food served by lazy rude waitresses, avoid this place at any cost.
One word... MargaritasStaff was friendly. Went for a quick HH with wings and Margarits. Worth returning to try out the dinner menu.
Best place to dine in and best drinks. Food is delicious that reminds you of mom home cook food. Chris (Bartender) always professional and attentive. Wish we had more places like Abi Azteca. Thank you to all the crew.
One of the best happy hour prices. Food is very authentic.
