The Shepherd's pie and the corned beef were both fantastic!Great service, delicious food, and exceptional bar service are all trademarks of Molloy's Irish! We had a wonderful experience.
So thankful for Molloy’s Irish Pub! We had our dog with us from out of town and they accommodated us and our dog at their outdoor seating! They were so kind and had a ton of food options for our kids with allergies. The owner even came out with their dog Miloe to great us!
Molloy’s is a nice Irish pub, right off Rt 3, in Gambrills. I’ve been there three times for a late lunch and have only had the crab dip and fish and chips from the menu. BUT, they are delicious and worth the drive to get there. It has the best atmosphere with efficient service people. There are four dart boards in the back near the bar area. Bathrooms were clean. Our last visit was a Saturday and it appeared that live music was going to be played, since they were setting up as we were leaving. The owner is from Ireland. I love that he’s brought a little bit of his home country to the area.
Service can be a little slow during trivia because it's busy, but it is always friendly! The spice bag app is always good. Get the curry with it. 3 starsEdit - I updated my review to add 2 more stars for the simple reason that the busy management/owner team took the time to respond regarding slow service We all have to be more patient these days. Thanks Molloy's; we feel the pain of hiring issues and wish you the best. I will be back!
Fun place to be, always been fun, we ordered some fish & chips and it wasn't great, just okay (frozen fish). If you are looking for a great place to watch some soccer games and deal with some true soccer fans ==> here it is. The beer selection is respectable.
Good bar, good food. Just wish it was clearer which tables are served by waitstaff and which are served by the bar. The waitstaff didn't tell me until I asked (after waiting for 10 minutes) that my table was a bar service table, which looks like all the other tables and is adjacent to other tables they were serving. Maybe put a permanent sign on that table or something so people know not to wait for a server?
Mother’s Day brunch was disgusting! Online had a great selection. Upon arriving, they had a buffet. Gross is an under. Raw cold beef, undercook sausage, bacon was greasy and undercooked. Price was suppose to be 16.95 with unlimited mimosas but we were charged $25.00 per person!!! We will not be back! Worse buffet I have ever attended.
We liked Molloy's from the dark woods, interior design, great service from Patrick and their outside seating option. One negative was there was no happy hour on drinks and only a boneless wing special. Food wise the rest of the group fared a little better than me, liking their Shepherds pies and fish and chips. My Old Bay boneless chicken wings were a little overcooked and the Spiced Bag was mostly French fries. There was little in the way of chicken in there, but the seasoning was very good on the fries, peppers and onions. Would certainly come back to try something else from the menu and hope the Samuel Adams Cold Snap was still not $7.
I really enjoyed their amber lager. It's not a craft brew in-house but it's a local DC brew. I got the French dip sandwiches (appetizer and sandwich proper, dont judge me) and they were pretty good. It pains me to say I left the sandwich behind after I packed it in a to go box.My fiancee went to Ireland and said the pub was much like a proper pub. Americanized food, but hey - I'm not complaining.
Guiness on tap and friendly service and an inviting comfortable hang out spot. Nice selection of food available as well. We will surely return.
