The food was good. By the time they finish serving everything everyone was full so we ended up taking it home. My family took me here for my birthday in May 2022. The chefs were not as entertaining as Benihannas, but they did their best. The server was a bit slow in bringing drinks ordered from the bar. The ice melted in my drink before I got it and it was not good. I had kids in my party who dropped their utensils and the server had an attitude to bring me ones. They sang happy birthday for me and hit the drums. People at our table joined in which was nice.

A bit of a wait to get seated as always with hibachi but the waiter was pleasant with the food and service tho a bit to the point. The chef on the grill was the entertainment and was funny and also tailored his show a bit for the kids and the birthday girl we had seated with us.I had the filet mignon and shrimp with fried rice. It comes with noodles also but I could have done without those. I wish the meal still came with salad which was an I expensive add on.Outside covered seating is available

I have been coming here for years with my family. We came back when it was on the other side of Waugh chapel. Used to love it. After tonight we will not be returning. All of a sudden it’s soup OR salad. Prices do not match the portions. Wait staff was rude and not attentive. Had to beg for drinks. As soon as the chef left they were offering us boxes and handing us the check. Didn’t give us a second to even eat. The “show” was minimal and not at all what it used to be. And then there was automatic gratuity of 18% for my husband and I and our 3 kids (they shared one meal). Our server definitely didn’t deserve that 18%. The hostess was nice. That’s about it.

Poor customer service when they’re “busy.” Will smash you and however many parties at a table the comfortable fits 12. However, if it’s busy, be prepared to sit 14-16 at a table. No elbow room if it’s “busy time.” And even though you’ll wait for another table that would adequately fit your family, you’re told it will be the same at all tables. I’m sorry, but if I’m paying $20+ for me and my children, why can’t we all sit where it’s enough room for all of our plates to fit and us to eat comfortably without each other elbows in each other’s mouths. Not only that, I’ve sat that way before there and my child ended up with the consequences of a busted lip due to trying to be squeezed at a table.

Excellent food and service.

Will never go here again waitress wasn't tentative. The cook wasn't as interactive while cooking kinda just cooked and served nothing exciting. Food was ok service was poor. Oh and I didn't like the fact that they they automatically added there own gratitude of party of four. It was 4 of us 2 adults and 2 children. I would have like to give my own desired tip....could have been more could have been less. Kinda made me feel like the waitress got paid for something she didn't earn....

i waited a few days to see if I would feel different, however I don’t so I am now leaving this review. This restaurant used to be one of my favorites, but never again. To me the restaurant business is built on good hospitality. On Friday I experienced nothing but a bad attitude from the time I was seated until our waitress abruptly handed everyone a togo package and our bill no sooner than the cook left our table. First she did not bring everyone’s appetizers to them. Then when asked she went and got them and slammed them down on the table. The family sitting next to me asked for refills on their childrens’ drinks, she came back with the kids cups and slammed them on the table. The food was good, but I ended up eating it back at my daughters place after the rude way our waitress scurried everyone away from the table grill. I only get to see my daughter once a month since she moved to her own place. I came all the way from Hughesville, MD to have lunch with my daughter. Thanks to Fugi it was the first monthly luncheon I did not enjoy. The cook was friendly and the food was good, but it did not compensate for the horrible service. i doubt if I will ever take a chance and go back again. Time is precious and you can’t get it back. At my age memories are important. Oh I almost forgot as we were leaving one of the ladies asked if she could get extra sauce. The waitresses barked at her that they don’t give extra sauce and she could not have any to take home.

I absolutely love this place ! Sushi is delicious and the hibachi is so good and filling

I've been going to Fuji for 10 years now and after this past week I will not be returning. My brother, his wife, my wife and I all went last Friday night. We came in as a party of 4 but we had 2 separate checks. The hibachi show was very minimal compared to what I was used to from Fuji. The next thing I noticed was now you are expected to pick between salad OR soup. We used to get both. Then I noticed that the portions when the meal came out were smaller than before. In addition, NONE of the 12 people are the entire table were done eating when the hostess started handing out "to go" containers. Literally we had been eating for 15 minutes when she did this. Everyone felt rushed to leave. Oh wait, it doesn't stop there, my wife told them it was my brothers and my birthday (we're twins) and they brought us out each a piece of cheesecake then charged me $12 for them. That was a first. I saw my bill and was floored. They AUTOMATICALLY added a tip to my bill even though it was only for my wife and I. Under the mandatory tip there was another line for "additional tip" that was left blank. This is outrageous. My wife had 1 alcoholic drink, I had a soda, we each had the pick 3 hibachi, 1 sushi roll and 1 appetizer...$160 with their mandatory tip for 2 PEOPLE. I will absolutely never go to this restaurant again. I heard they were under new management, well if you're reading this I suggest you revert a lot of your policies back to the way it used to be before you end up with no customers.

We have always been a fan of Fuji’s but the recent changes to the menu and the overall experience is terrible. Used to get a soup and salad with the Hibachi, now you only get the choice of one. The costs have gone up and the product quantity has gone down. Not to mention the cooks used to have a personality and seemed to enjoy the work they were doing entertaining the customers. Now they look miserable and can’t wait to finish. Not somewhere I plan to come back to.
