This was way over priced, avoid this place. I thought it would be really awesome food, and that is why I decided to pay, although when I got home , found it was a small portion and only decent taste.
Both occasions, the food was excellent! Just disappointed that you can't dine there. The personnel is competent otherwise.
Had a door dash order here, just 8 piece chicken. Cashier girl said coming in shortly. Waited 10 minutes, as I watched 4 peoples foods come out, but not mine. Asked about it again and she just stated the same phrase again. Hmmm, maybe instead of just standing there doing nothing, you talk to the kitchen and tell them someone’s here. I left as soon as she stated “it’s coming shortly” again. She just blindly stands there, doing nothing. Bad service.
I heard great things about this Bonchon so I decided to order some takeout. The food was warm when it got here, and it was plentiful. However, the chicken was quite bland as well as the rice. The most enjoyable part was the fries. Was the meal I had satisfactory? Yes. Was it delicious? Not quite. I would go here again to try their other menu items, though.
Staff was friendly and good. The beef bulgogi was pretty disappointing. Not terrible but severely lacked in flavor. Waste of $20. Get something else.
I love this location. Always very good. The chicken is saucy but has a slight crunch to it. The wings and drumsticks are a good size. I love eating bulgogi and pickled radish together. I would come back here anytime.
I have never tried Korean food before until my friend introduced me to it. We had the fried chicken wings & radish & fries on the side. OMG!! amazing extra crispy chicken. 2 amazing flavors we picked were the soy ginger & spicy...they did not disappoint.. i actually went back 3 days later to try the tenders & they too were amazing. The fries portion would feed 2-3 people. highly recommend
It was my first time visiting this one. Service was quick, waited about 15 minutes for the food. Took it to go. As you can see in the picture there is no inside seating due to Covid. Food was fresh and tasted good. I'll be back to visit.
I used to love going to Bonchon but recently they changed their strips from hand battered, Korean style to pretty much buying them frozen from a grocery store. If I had soy garlic sauce, I could make the same strips they serve buying Tyson’s chicken tenders. I’m sad with the franchises change and it is no longer the place to go. Hopefully they bring their originally recipe back.
Got soy garlic wings barley any sauce on it, I was basically just eating dry fried chicken drove all the way home before I realized. Hyattsville location is way better.
