I have asked (at least the past 3 times) to make it "mild" since I have health issues and cannot eat spicy food. They do not care. They say the do but they still send you the food super spicy. Their excuse is "oh it is spicy for you" but I know spicy food and they send it very spicy. This happened again for the third time. Why ask if I want the food "mildly spicy or medium or very spicy" if you are going to do whatever you want? Today I called them before ordering and ask them to please send me the lentil dish mild and they just do not care, it was very spicy. Please do not pretend to care if you don't. Words come and go but actions are what matters. We used to get more than $100 orders but we order less and less and now I will never get your food!!!
I am very regular customer and almost every week I eat from spice life due to good taste but they keep playing with people safety. This is second time where I found safety issue. First time I got iron pin and this time I am seeing glass in food.Safety is more important than anything else. This is hazardous as good restaurant and not giving attention for safety.
Amazing food, but the spice bowl deal is not friendly for vegetarians. Every time we’ve gone, it has been a major problem to replace the chicken with extra vegetables. If you ask for extra and explain you aren’t getting meat, they add .25 ounces of each item at a time and don’t seem to want to accommodate.
Authentic Indian cuisine. Love Tandoori chicken and lamb chops. Excellent service. The cook can customize the dish to adjust spice and salt levels. Very clean facility.
Biryani was good. Mango lassi was watery and tasted more like a milkshake then lassi
Having tried some other Indian restaurants in the Gaithersburg area, we keep coming back to Spice Life because the food is consistently well prepared. We have only ordered takeout here, as the look of the restaurant itself doesn't really match the quality of the food; it looks more like it was converted to a fine dining restaurant from a fast-casual eatery. Regardless, we have had excellent biriyani, vindaloo, roganjosh, and malai kofta with sauce so good I want to lick the container. Amazingly delicious!
We had a family dinner last night and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and freshness of the food. All dishes that we ordered was tasty and well seasoned. The service was excellent. We are surely going back for more! If you haven’t tried this restaurant do go!
The staff were very friendly; this place is a great option for Indian takeout or dine in. The restaurant has a Chipotle-like setup where you can build your own bowl with any of their food options for a fixed price of $10.95. You can also order entrees off their menu if you want a more traditional meal
My family and I are doing a Daniel’s fast so only veggies for us, we came and ordered, hands down best Indian food in Maryland. Have in mind my wife is Indian so I’m around Indian food a lot, I recommend this place to anyone. It’s been settled in the heavens a 5 star shall be given to them.
Tried the biryani it was quite tasty. You can order from the menu or you can do a bowl if you want something quick.
