The best restaurant on the town
Had lunch with my little girl there. The staff were phenomenal. Our waitress was professional, courteous, and always making sure we were comfortable. The food was great. I had the prime rib burger. Kid had the grilled cheese. Big portions, but not too big.
Loved it, great food. Wonderful staff.
The experience for a first time was not great the food was not what we expected we were unable to eat the steak or the mixed vegetables but wait staff was very nice and polite. It took so long to get our food we we were late to the theater.
Looks good huh folks? Well it was not. My wife and I went here to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary. We love the location of Rio in general as we always hang out here. We had seen so many people eat at this Silver Diner that we figured let's give it a shot. BIG MISTAKE! Our hostess was nice. Our waiter was okay. Then we ordered our food. We decided to get some type of catfish tenders for appetizers. Our main entrees included a Beyond Burger Mac n Cheese and a chicken sandwich with French fries. Our drinks came promptly. I wasn't a fan of being carded for ID to drink as anyone who looks at me can guess I'm at least 30 and not 41 going on 42. We waited for at least 20-25 minutes for our food. Not cool as we should've been told upfront or at some point there might be a delay, check in with us, something! Nope nope! So after 20-25 minutes all our food comes at the same time, including the appetizers which we should've gotten first while waiting on our actual meals. We tried to put that to the side and eat the food, our last mistake! Everything was cold, even my wife's fries were cold to her standards. She took about 2-3 bites of her sandwich and fries and couldn't eat anymore. I couldn't eat anymore of mine as for me everything tasted not so fresh, a few days old and cold, no flavor what so ever, including from her food. Everything bland and not so fresh. I love drinking beers and IPAs. I usually finish a whole bottle when I am eating out. I was so upset and not feeling my food I left practically the whole bottle behind. All that for $60. Wasn't worth it! I blasted them on social media without tagging them and they hit me up asking for more info and to DM them. I hit them up promptly. They apologized and asked if I could give them my email so they could talk to me more about it first thing Monday. Well Monday came and pass folks and nothing. Unless we talking a refund I'm not having it. Don't eat here folks. Food is better at all the other places around this Silver Diner. Amazing how bad the quality diminished at this Silver Diner as the one we used to frequent at Lakeforest Mall before it was closed stayed having excellent food.
The food is always good. I love the options for me as well as my meat eating friends. The Manager here is very hands on and always checks in with the guests. The outdoor patio by the lake is awesome!
I had probably the most unappetizing sandwich in a long time. Stay away from prime rib sandwich.It looked really weird and I didn’t even feel like eating it.I tried adding fries to make it better but not a great idea.
the food was excellent ..the portion size were more than ample. the waitress(Nichol) was awesome !!! looked after us really well and made us feel comfortable! thanks Nichol.
I like Silver dinner, and have been to all locations in the region. This new Rio location is no different. We had Apple-pie stuffed French toast and chicken and waffle. Both were good. I gave four star because the chicken sausage - it was too hard I can barely cut it through.
I love silver diner, but not this location. My friends and I had a terrible experience here. We all ordered burgers medium, they all arrived well done with toppings missing from our burgers. On top of that, the service lacked severely, we were not given silverware, and when we asked our waitress for refills on drinks, she never returned, after 15 minutes we had to go to the hostess staff to help us and they all gave us looks of dread. When the drinks finally arrived they told us that their water machine was broken and that there was "no more water in the entire place". After waiting another 15 minutes for the check we flagged down the manager who took the check and didn't bring back the change after we requested to do so. With an experience like this on top of me asking other friends about their experience there sounded similar, we would not recommend visiting this specific location. I hope that they hire more staff for their very large locstion.
