Ruthâs Chris in Gaithersburg is not our #1 location, the Bethesda location was our favorite, elegant and refined. The Crown location decor is very âVegasâ. Franck was our waiter and heâs really good. Experienced, soft-spoken, polite, efficient, etc. Our meal was very good. Cocktails, great bread, wedge salads, a porterhouse for 2. It was good, but fatty and medium rare instead of the medium that we ordered. We ordered cappuccinos and since everything is big at Ruthâs, they need to bump up their cappy size. Too small! Anyone who pays 60, 70, 80 bucks for an a la carte entree isnât going to notice, or care about, the price for a larger cappuccino.
Steak was over cooked and remade steak was very fatty when it was supposed to be a filet. Very disappointing experience.

Our sonâs favorite birthday restaurant but this was our first time at the one in Crown. The great food we always get at Ruthâs Chris and Kelsey was an excellent server. When I told them we were celebrating a birthday they put a card on the table, sprinkled some party confetti and comped my sonâs dessert. Great night out!
