Had a really good experience here this morning, I came in for a lunch break from Paladar. Don’t come here often but when I do it’s always amazing. This Morning was another wonderful experience to me. The manager Loyship did really well and made sure my lunch was on point too.
Waited about an hour for 2 pizza order through their app. Now I can understand if they were packed, but no. Line from walk-ins had cleared out and what were the staff doing? Chatting and having a great time, very leisurely making pizzas! One guy was scrolling through his phone looking for a song to play. Expected pickup at 8:50 and ended up getting the pizzas more than half an hour later at 9:40?? Hadn't experienced this sort of lackadaisical behavior before and I'd rather go farther to other &pizzas rather than come back here.
Shout out to the team and manager at this location. I have been in hospitality and food service for 25 years. I am fortunate enough to work at one of the most expensive restaurants in Washington DC. I am recognizing the manager because I was actually shocked at how well she handled the situation. During Covid, and especially since Covid restrictions have eased up, service at almost every restaurant and food service counter has been tremendously lacking, or awful- even at very high end places. It’s been so consistently poor everywhere that their service tonight was a nice surprise, enough for me to get on here and write a review.Tonight, Friday night, they accidentally mixed my pizzas up with a to-go order. The associates were obviously busy and perhaps training a new employee. The manager stepped in, very quickly, clearly and precisely identified the problem without unnecessary finger pointing or questioning, and immediately took perfect steps to fix and make up for the issue. Her assertiveness and respect was very professional- of a dying breed these days- and her crew was polite about it. I know it’s a simple thing, but it was unexpected and refreshing!Yes it took 20-30m for me to get out of there, but I left happy and I’ll be back. The pizza was great. Good job, y’all, thanks for reminding me that proper service and hospitality still exists
I love coming to this location because they’re always so friendly and coming with two kids can get hectic pretty quick but they are always so helpful and patient. They always ask to cut my kids pizza in a kids way that is so helpful with little ones. Maddie was one of the people at this location that helped me at the end along with 2 other guys who were so nice the whole entire way through my order. Will come back here again and 100% recommend this place to anyone !
Love this &pizza location. The store is always clean, and the staff is always so friendly. The food is tasty, too! A few weeks ago, I placed a pick-up order online, and when I got there, they were behind on orders. I stood there for probably 30-45 minutes with other people. Some people were rude about the situation and others were gracious. The staff never got upset with angry customers and stayed calm and friendly. I waited patiently for my order, and was given two coupons for future use. I tried to use one of the coupons earlier this week online, but I had issues with the checkout process. So I went to the store to make the purchase. The coupon was showing that I had already used it, even though the order hadn’t actually gone through online. The woman at the register was so a kind and understanding. She gave me the pizza for free to honor the coupon (which was for a free pizza). I highly recommend this restaurant. If you want delicious pizza made in a clean place by great people, this is the place for you.
I mainly order through apps because it’s more convenient, plus the staff has never been very friendly. You get that feeling like you’re a burden for just entering and taking up their time . But I think that going is the only way to get your order correct.When ordering through apps, Ive had orders come in burnt or with an item missing. To this day, this location is the only restaurant that I’ve had to request a refund from (on their app & through Ubereats). Multiple times at that. Tonight I didn’t have to request a refund because even though I put in an order over an hour before they were set to close, my order was canceled with no explanation. Luckily there are plenty of other locations in the area. The one in Pike&Rose has always been great.
Great staff, fast and good food. Missed the rush so we didn’t have to wait. Will defiantly come back
Great food and great service from Kendall and Bri. They made sure they got my order right and consistently asked me if everything on my pizzas were fine. Customer service from those two were more that exceptional, they deserve a raise for their hard work and this is now my favorite &pizza store! Big thanks to those two. Best employees in that store!
I certainly hope that warm cardboard with minimum toppings and spicy sauce is not the future of pizza. For real, if you are going to be irreverent and flippant, at least be good.App promised a time for -pickup, text message confirmed the time, still make you wait 20 minutes for a lukewarm, quarter size pizza.I really wanted to find something good to say, alas i can not.
Chrissy was super friendly and super helpful. She was very thorough and explained the operation perfectly! What a good staff member, will come back! I was even able to get a $5 pie because of her!!
