First time trying this restaurant, so I went inside to place the order. I was 'greeted' by a very rude lady working the front. I asked what type of vegetables were in the pan fried vegetable dumplings. She waved her hand at me and shouted, 'I don't know!' I asked if it had any mushrooms. Again, 'I don't know!' Okay, she was having a bad day, or bad with customer service. I placed my order for a chicken dish and the 'pan friend dumplings' The dumplings I took home were NOT pan fried, and the chicken dish had little/no sauce on them. I LOVE supporting local restaurants. But not this one again :(
It takes a bit of time to eat through the menu… which I have been working on for some time. Try the Szechuan dumplings first.Then work your way through the menu
One of the worst Asian restaurants I have been to. When you order meat & noodles, they give you really fatty chunks with very little meat & when you get lo mein with meat, again they give you very little meat and I ordered extra vegetables with it once & they gave me maybe 3 or 4 pieces of broccoli, definitely not worth the $2.50 extra. I don't like giving bad reviews but this place is a rip off.
Got general tso chicken. The sauce was thick and flavorful. Most Asian places water it down. They did a really good job.
I didn't know this place existed before this week. It took me a bit of circling around at the Kentlands to locate it. It's on one of the side streets from Main. So it's not really visible from the main street and the signage is barely high enough over any parked SUVS. Color of the signage also blends with the brick color of the building.I stopped by because I had heard that the chef that used to run the Hong Kong BBQ food stall at New York Mart is now one of chefs at Ming's. I've been craving his roast pork so had to go and get some! Still has that hoisan flavor I've been craving. Also got a whole roast duck and it was tasty. Skin was crispy and lots of the fat was rendered. There's a small window that has the roast meats hanging. So you can see/select what you want!It's got a handful of tables for indoor dining. They did have a couple tables outside. Not sure I'd dine in but at least it's got a few parking spaces out front for takeout pickup!Will be going again. Going Chef Mah stays for awhile and will offer roast pig on the weekends! Haven't tried anything else, but heard from others that the menu has changed a bit. With Chef Mah, it's more Hong Kong/Cantonese.
Not sure how this place gets anything less than 5 stars - it is fantastic. Great food, great service. Everything was perfect.
Edit: was delivered. Will write off as one time issue and re-rate because the food is good. No explanation given though and it took a little under 2.5 hours and some of it was pretty cold. I'll do pickup from now on. Still one of the better Chinese takeout places in the area.Not sure what happened, but they never delivered my order and they will not answer the phone to confirm to the vendor (BeyondMenu) to refund my money. It has been 2 hours and now i am out 60 dollars. I have used this same service 5 or so times and never had an issue.I want to give 1 star, but the food and service is always great and might be a one-time miscommunication. Not super happy either way though as i now need to go find dinner for my family and probably beg to get my refund.If you are not open and/or not working with a certain vendor anymore, then it would be great to let your customers know.
Hidden gem with authentic Chinese food! Love the large plate chicken with home made wide noodle, lamb kabobs, and fish fillet! Very fresh and authentic.
We went last week with friends and everyone loves the hand made wide noodle with the authentic large plate chicken! Don't know how many noodle we added in the tasty chicken! Also highly recommend the seaweeds fish fillet, lamb kabobs!
The most delicious Chinese food I’ve had in Maryland! The Chicken Lo Mein was everything! The employees were very nice and family oriented. I will definitely come back again!
