Food was not tasty.Food ordered:Carne asada, pecado frito, dobladas de queso, and sides. All our food didn't taste as if it was freshly made, even though it took so long for it to come out. Given cold side dishes.Service was very slow. Servers didn't know menu well and/or how to explain dishes.Food didn't come out in a timely fashion and we all recieved our food at different times vs being able to eat together all at once.Drinks weren't good, I would have expected horchata, a central American stable, to be delicious. Unfortunately it wasn't.I would not recommend this place, there are plenty of other small restuarants with delicious central american food and drinks nearby. Take your business there instead.

Location is great.Good patio for summer drinking. Food is OK. Most of the time I order the sweet plantains they come out green(hard). Also, not sure why they are so stingy with the salsa for the pupusas. Sometimes they get upset when I ask for more ?. I have been at the Germantown location and I always get decent amount of salsa when ordering pupusas.

Apparently they don't know what curbside pickup means. I arrived at the time that was given on my online order and called as soon as I arrived. I waited for 15 minutes and finally decided I needed to go inside, to find my order sitting at the cashier's desk getting cold. The food was pretty good once I reheated it. I left a tip online just for someone to bring my order to the car, should have asked for it to be refunded.

Great employees equals great customer service. The food is amazing and the bartenders pay attention to the details making it a great experience.

Loved this spot! Definitely one of those hidden gems in old town Gaithersburg that has exceptional authentic cuisine and a fun environment.Sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. Menu looked awesome and the bartender was so kind; she answered all of our questions. I inquired about the alcohol density of the frozen piña colada- was it on par with a regular drink? The bartender assured me it was- and it WAS! Magnificent in presentation and taste. I was drunk before I finished it so I know she told the truth. I am no lightweight :) Skinny Margarita was also amazing and I reveled in its simplicity! The food was scrumptious. Loved the plantain avocado bowl I ordered. The presentation is not overdone; the plates are simple but incredibly tasty and the mom and pop recipes are an undisputed five-star delicious! The venue is colorful and casual. Plants and cactuses garnish the wooden tables and mosaic-tiled floors. Simple string lights winked behind the bar. I loved it and they made me feel like I was at home!Thank you La Casita I will be back again!!

Had the the whole fried fish (rockfish) with sides of plantains and black beans. Absolutely delicious all around. Was a very authentic Central American restaurant with very good food. Will return

I was excited to try their fritanga Nicaragüense since my mom is from Nicaragua but sadly was very disappointed. First, the curtido was bland and not fresh at all. It’s not Nicaraguan at all. Not even good enough to be Salvadoran either. The gallo pinto (rice with beans) taste nothing like what it’s supposed to. It lacked flavor and it’s not the kind of rice grain used for the dish. The cheese was cold and the carne asada was soooo tiny and bland. No flavor at all. Overall, everything lacked flavor. Very disappointed as I was excited to try this dish since you don’t have any Nicaraguan restaurants in the area. Maybe it’s time for new cooks?

This place has so much to offer! Lots of parking, outdoor dining with heat lamps, great interior ambiance/decoration and a rich menu. Had the carne asada and nuegados and it was good. Will definitely have to try some pupusas next time around (which will likely be soon)!

I eat here a lot. They HAD the best pupuas around here. I ended up ordering out and the food is terrible. Chicken and tortilla is dry in my chicken taco and the pupuas have no flavor either! I have half the sense to get my money back for this garbage! Use to be good quality food but now, I'll NEVER come back.

We were looking for a pupuseria for lunch. The food was really excellent. My wife had a plantain empanada and I had a plate of roasted pork with beans. We also got lots of pupusas for Xmas eve dinner. It was a bit out of the way but worth the drive. Plenty of parking and very reasonable prices.
