A fun and aromatic experience! Sort of like melting pot but better. You get a soup base that you can cook and ingredients to dump in. With a sauce and spice bar. Not only is the food excellent but it constantly bubbles and steams in front of you, which open and freshens up your sinuses.

Best quality meat out of the hot pot places I've been to in the area. You order from an iPad and the staff are pretty quick to bring out your orders. You can choose between a large pot or a personal pot for each person.

I rarely give a place 5 stars, but this place deserves it.The customer service is really good. The staff were really nice and friendly and knew my kid liked the robot and sent it out with all our orders.Using the iPad to order food is really efficient and the waitress still kept checking in on us.The food is really good and we were able to get all of our choices (sometimes a restaurant might be out of certain options on their menus.)I don’t live in the area, but it’s def worth the 25 mins drive.

A hot pot buffet restaurant with very nice setting which makes it a comfortable oriental atmosphere. The waitresses were very nice and friendly, even they were not very well-trained. We were a large group of 8. Our soup bases were messed up. But we simply accepted whatever they brought to us.All meats, like beef and lamb, were very fresh and with good quality. However, the seafood was just so so. Especially the shrimp paste, there was too much starch and water added so that it tasted like a starch dough. Traditionally, it should be made with pure shrimp with little ingredients, no starch, no water. All greens, mushrooms and tofu were very fresh. There was a variety of sauces available. I tried sesame paste sauce, peanut butter sauce, fermented bean curd.. all of them were perfect. So, I would say, if you like hot pot with endless beef and lamb, it is a good place to go.

Went to Hotpot Hero for the first time. The manager Amy made us feel welcome and patiently explained the menu and the ordering process. All ingredients were SO fresh! Great experience. Will visit again soon!

We visited this Hot Pot Hero Gaithersburg at the lunch time today 4/16/22. The manager Amy was very nice in entertaining us. She and her staff were all friendly, courteous and professional. The hot pot foods we ordered were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed so much that we will be back with our friends in the future.

???This hot pot is high quality food and service! I appreciate Ami for making our time pleasant every time we come. The environment, food and service is exquisite. If you are wondering if this is the place to be, then the answer is Yes! Whether you are going on a date, having a party or chowing down with family, this is the spot to eat! This place is spacious and fun! Thank you staff and cooks for making our time here an experience!???

The BEST VALUE all-you-can-eat place! Excellent, fresh food and clean!!! (even their women's bathroom is clean!) And great services, especially Amy! By the way, it is hard for me to believe this restaurant does not get 5 stars! We travel all the way from VA to this place at least two times a month. We just love it!!! P.S. I read the reviews that did not give them 5 stars and feel those reviews may not be fair to them. As an example, one review gave them a 4-star commenting food is great, quality is great, but expensive. Yes, if you compare this place with most cheap Chinese all you can ear places, $33 does seem expensive. However, fresh and high-quality food cost me. I am willing to pay extra for good, fresh food. As another example, I was shocked to see a review giving them only 3 stars commenting she got sick (even though she said she loved the food there). I was wondering if she did not cook her food well in the hot pot, or she couldn't handle the spices.

The selection of food was good and everything was flavorful with the option of selecting two different broths. My only major complaint is the electric stove made a high frequency whine when it was turned on. The frequency is less noticeable if you turn down the heat setting to the "P5" or less option. Not sure if this applied to our specific table only. The coil whine was similar to nails on a chalkboard, very uncomfortable. I'm still giving 5 stars because I think we just had bad luck where we sat.

Really fun experience! You choose a broth and can order as many ingredients to cook as you can eat. They do ask that you eat what you order, so places will add an additional fee if you waste food. The boba tea spot next door is connected so you can order from there with you dinner :)
