Bad family lunch experience and will not return.Went there for late lunch at 3pm and saw the sign that certain food items were for dinner only and took a picture (see pic) to be safe. The worst was that we didn't know they put some dinner only food out before 3:30pm. Without knowing it, we assumed all food choices were available for lunch before 3:30pm and accidentally took some dinner only items by mistake. The kitchen manager was scolding at me. Later, I saw a dish sea snails and asked if it was permitted. He replied, 'No, it was for dinner only'. I said sea snail is not on the Dinner Only Menu and I was confusing. He said, 'Crab was substituted by sea snail tonight'.How will the customers know without clear indication or labelling? To avoid confusion, use label at a minimum.
Every time we go to this restaurant the prices change but our family size is smaller. We use to come here very often and we started seeing the prices fluctuate depending on the person at the front counter. Recently within months there was a $50 increase and we actually decreased a family member. Also the food is not fresh and is mostly likely poured back in if you eat past 7pm and weekday evenings is worse. The food is only fresh weekend afternoons. It is good but not worth the increase and the fear of getting sick. Golden Coral is always fresh and prices don’t fluctuate and change based on front counter service. Also there is Lulus buffet in Gaithersburg that is good and more honest with pricing. They are constantly busy so it makes for fresh food.
Most of the food is cold. I didn't like most of the food maybe it was because it was cold. I got a piece of fish as they put it out and it was just above room temperature. There were a couple of good items. Just a couple kinds of dessert none of which looked interesting, except the ice cream and chocolate fountain. Too expensive and too cold for me
I went to Hibachi 3 times during the last month. The food and service varied each time. The first time I went there with a friend who is familiar with this buffet restaurant, from top to the bottom. He recommended the eggplants with soy sauce, fried fish filet, mapo tofu, and sautéed steak. The food was delicious! It was much better than a plated restaurant. And the service was wonderful. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. They kept asking if the food was ok to us, refilling the tea and removing the used plates.I was so satisfied and brought my family there a week later. However, the experience was terrible this time. The fried fish filet tasted like leftover, cold, very chewy (suppose yo be crispy) and stiff. The tofu tasted funny, or say, not fresh. The steak was not steak for sure, it tasted like brisket. My husband had diarrhea right after getting back home. And the service, actually, no service! The waitress just stood together and chatted happily. They didn’t refill the tea. When a waitress came to take the used plates, she had already had 4 or 5 dirty plates wiggling on her arm. I was afraid that the plates might be dropped onto my table. The third time was a big carry out order. Each dish was in a big tray. They tasted good. And the the quantitation was large.
My experience is amazing. The have all different type of Cuisine from American to Chinese to Seafood it was so good .The staff was friendly. Our servicer was attentive. The cost was reasonable. It restaurant was clean all staff was following covid guidelines. All staff was wearing mask.I would definitely recommend this amazing Hibachi restaurant and I will be going back!!
It’s not the same as before… the food is bland and cold and it looks dirty around where the food is. Also, my family and I ordered the seafood soup and then we got it , it smelled like cinnamon and tasted like water, No flavor at all. It looked like they just boiled the noodles and with the same water they just threw it in the bowl. Definitely never coming back here again.
There are a lot of various foods, particularly sea foods. Several types of sushi rolls, including Philadelphia, california, and veggie avicado sushi rolls. And a couple of different nigiri sushi. There were 4 types of soup: Miso, seafood, soybean, and a sour soup. I loved their miso soup. Desserts were good too. The quality of the food was OK, but reasonable for the price you pay, considering the variety of all you can eat foods.
Amazing place to gather in family ? everything is perfect , customers , services ? I post here my favorite meals
Horrible experience food was bad sat too long and the only good part of my whole dinner was the hibachi everything else I got from the bar was Horrible definitely not worth the 53.70 for 3 ppl to eat and wit my experience it doesn't deserve a 3.8 star waitress stood over our shoulders watching us eat and made comments about wasting food due to not liking it and it tasted Horrible
Do not be fooled by the prices that are at the entrance. Apparently they have not been updated for centuries. For 4 adults and a 6 year old we paid USD 100 for dinner. Too expensive considering the price of other Buffets in the area and the quality of the food is not what you can expect to pay for something like that.
