Would be fantastic if the google listing and website was updated with the correct hours. Nothing like driving an hour to finally try the food here, only to find out they close at 9 not 10 on Sundays.Thanks y’all. Especially with gas being $5 a gallon.
My Girlfriend, my 12 year old daughter, and I went to eat dinner at this Restaurant. I heard it was a nice family restaurant with live bands on Saturdays. I am thinking this a country style Restaurant. I looked at the Menu and My eyes locked on the Catfish dinner. My G.F. ( a Local ) had Potato Skins and my daughter had the chicken tenders. She Loves Tenders but not this night. She complained the Chicken Tenders were too too Salty. I tasted it . YUK it was. I started to eat my 2 huge size Catfish with their signature breading. Oh my god. It WAS Salty as Hell !! I could not believe how two dishes were very salty. I could not eat the meal. My daughter could not eat her Meal. We told our Waitress . Chicken Tenders were not Charged to the Bill. The only thing I liked was the Band and my Crown and Coke.. after 30 minutes My Girlfriend had to go find our Waitress to order another Drink. WOW. After all Dissatisfied with Service and Meals. The One Good thing was the Band playing good 80's Music.
I am so glad I have friends who took me to their hidden gem. If I listed all my favorite breakfast favs on a piece of paper it would read like their menu. Grits the way they should be, buttery and creamy. REAL country ham. Fresh, fried to order fried chicken. Fantastic waffles . I could go on and on.And then there's VICKY. She anticipated everything you wanted, everything you needed and was very entertaining to converse with, so nice.
Best fried chicken in the area. It’s extremely juicy, flavorful, with a light crispy outside. You can’t go wrong with the 2 piece fried chicken mean with hush puppies and collard greens!
Quaint little Restaurant with an inviting ambiance, live music and great service! I tried the chicken livers and they were excellent! They were perfectly cooked with a delicious dipping sauce on the side. Most places over cook and they are dry. These were incredibly moist and succulent and were very satisfying. Definitely a must visit!
Hershey's is a hidden treasure (take Oakmont off Shady Grove, turn left, across from the post office) that we finally got around to trying last year and it's become a family favorite.Our go-to is the fried chicken of course. We tend to get the 12 piece with 2 sides and biscuits to split among 4 people. The mashed potatoes are my favorite side, flavorful and buttery, I could probably eat a whole side by myself haha Their gravy is also good. Green beans help it feel like a more well rounded meal, but we do usually also order fries for some of the family that prefer that as their form of potato hahaThere is plenty of surface lot parking. Inside is a cozy and fairly spacious dining area made up of booths, tables with chairs, and some splits. There is a stage for live music, and a bar. They also have covered outdoor seating.Everyone who works here is friendly :) We usually order carry-out, which can sometimes take a little while, but the food is always fresh and delicious!
The 3 thighs fried chicken was very good. It was fried just right. Not a lot of seasoning. I like their seasoned fries though. Wasn't a fan of how servers and bartenders handled some of the food and drinks. Where you put your hands, especially on my glass, is important to me in preventing germs from spreading or making people sick. But overall, I would go back. The chicken and fries, was good enough to go there again with my cousin or a buddy or a co-worker. It's not a place you would take a date or have a business meeting or anything. But it's good.
Good lunch, moderate price. Excellent burger, fries are really really good. Service was great. Very pleasant experience. Dont get to come often but always reliable good food
The food is good. They didn't have crabcakes but the catfish was good.Family friendly place.
Great place most friendly staff, especially Point Dexter he was probably the best waiter I’ve ever had he definitely deserves a raise!
