I love this place. I've ordered take out dozens of times and just dined-in yesterday for the first time.Everything I've eaten has been getting good. I usually get one of the salads, which are unique, tasty, and filling. It's hard skipping the grilled cheese though. I don't know what they do but it is by far the best grilled cheese I've ever had; I love grilled cheese. The fries too are cooked perfectly, very thin crisp on the outside but not burnt or over cooked or under cooked. Just perfect.Dining in was fun. I never realized how small the place was before. I think there's less than 20 tables. They have two very long shared tables though. They had some band playing lube when I was there. The waitress was amazing; Krystal. Fun, energetic, and appeared genuinely interested in what I was debating and ordering. My entire bill came to just over $8. Really. But I couldn't leave her a $1.60 tip. That's 20% but she did great work even though I ordered a really cheap meal. 250% tip this time; well deserved.
3.5 stars. This review limited to the carryout of a pizza. It was very good. Place is popular and had a live band on Saturday night. Will try other items on menu in future visits.
I have frequented this restaurant at this new location since it relocated. I enjoy the live music and friendly staff. When they first owned they had the best gluten free pizza I've found in the area. However, I think they have changed the recipe, and the crust is now too chewy. I how they return to the old recipe as it was awesome!
Cool place. Really loved the vibe here. The pizza is great.
This was our first time here. All the wait staff were wearing masks. Our waitress, Sam, was really attentive, polite and sweet. Their portions are enough for a second meal! We had crab dip that came with 2 long pretzel puffs, the spaghetti with meat sauce and a sandwich. The fries are deliciously crunchy on the outside!!
Not the best environment for everyone to Dine in The outside stays like happy hour all day. Food is grate more then a pizza joint .... More hospitality is needed. Maybe a walk around manager ? checking on the guess would help. The Beer store next door gives more love then the restaurant. I would recommend it!!!!
Our families have been enjoying GJ's pizza when it was first known as "Cavaliers" in Twinbrook. Of course we love it. Most newcomers aren't used to Swiss cheese and sweet sauce on pizza. But the salty cheese and the sugar in the sauce is what makes this style of "ZA" so special. The crust is also unique. Order the crust "well done" to get a better overall taste. In closing, if you want a New York style pizza, go to Fontina Grill or Giuseppe's, both in Rockville. But if you want a truly unique and delicious work of art, DON'T MISS GJ's pizza.
Stopped in for lunch. The pizza (square instead of pie shaped) is very good and is well known throughout the area. The crab dip with soft pretzels are a winner too. Good beer selection, most of which are bottles. Nice natural sun lights up the place, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Good place to spend an afternoon.
Went there to clear my head and to get quick dinner for my family and the staff was great. Patty is an absolute gem. If you happen to go ask for Patty. Such a caring and compassionate human being. We need more like her.
Best pizza in the area. Only place I go for pizza anymore.
