This place went downhill FAST! As you walk in there are empty and beat up ice cream bins right at the front door. Place looks like it hasn’t been mopped in weeks. Staff incredibly rude and lack any service whatsoever. Their toppings were almost all empty and you can tell ownership is absent or totally careless. The girl at the front was sitting down watching tv on her phone not even realizing people are in line to pay and are staring at her to acknowledge them. Disaster from A to Z. Will NEVER go back. Another place that will most likely shutter at RIO due to poor product and service.
Stopped in here on an extremely hot day and was excited to try a gelato stick. They also have gelato scoop available. I choose the cookies and cream with chocolate caramel balls and a chocolate hazelnut sauce. It was very tasty overall, the toppings drove it home. I will try the fruit bar next time.The staff was very nice and explained everything very well. The restaurant was very clean and had places to sit.
Fantastick is located at the Rio in Gaithersburg right near the AMC movie theaters.This fancy, artsy yet fun gelateria indulges my inner child as I carefully peruse the different sticks of gelato which are works of art by themselves. After choosing my stick of gelato, I get to pick 3 toppings . This is followed by a choice of 3 tubs of chocolate to dip into - dark chocolate, caramel biscotti or hazelnut . My chosen toppings are carefully sprinkled on and a final decision of drizzle - strawberry, chocolate or vanilla is made.What a mouthful ! Literally and figuratively but oh so yummy.

Icecream is good, but every time I go here the place is just filthy!! Floors, chairs, counter everything is just dirty
Very good Ice cream for the price. Definitely choose the sampler! You get a lot of flavors and amount for just $8.Tiramisu, mango, cherry vanilla, and pistachio is what I got. All these flavors were really good. I can’t pick a favorite; all of them were good, accurate, and flavorful in their categories. The ice cream was a bit stretchy and none were too cold or melty.The interior is very bright and makes for a date spot. I wish I took pictures of the shop and the ice cream, but I got too excited. Definitely among the better spots for ice cream in Rockville.
Yum ice cream..my daughter always enjoy this place, as there are many ways she can customize her ice cream.

I was here friday. The experience was amazing. The gelato was amazing. However, the service was better. My first time there and the kid behind the counter walked me through everything and helped me pick out the flavors. Great service!
So innovative and delicious!!Wish I could give 6 starts.
