I work down the street and frequent this location. The store is clean, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious no matter what I've ordered. Today my colleagues and I got three chicken rice bowls, three chicken empanadas, and chicharones. I'm still kicking my fingers!

This spot isn't as good as a Sardi's but they check most boxes. The chicken wasn't on the hot (temperature) side the way I like it, but everything came out all right.

Food is really good, but the workers are always very rude and dismissive. I advise you order ahead and just pick up to go. In good news I’ve been able to reduce my sodium intake bc I’ve stopped going there as often due to the poor treatment. One of the cashiers always got my order wrong and my totals were always weird until I asked her to please double check my order bc of price discrepancies. She got mad at me and has been the rudest of all of them ever since. I only write reviews if I like a place, but this is an exception because I really like the food, although the service is terrible. Had to use a different account to not taint my history of good reviews. In short, food is good, workers are rude and maybe even shady.

We ordered a whole chicken with two sides. The chicken was well marinated and juicy. Fried yuca was crispy. Plantain was sweet and with quality. It was our first time and we will come back.

Love this place. I don’t live in the area any more but when I come back I always hit Don Pollo. Great skin on the chicken, juicy but not “wet”, and the plantains are always cooked until caramelized and tender. YUM

Don Pollo is a delicious, quick & easy (and can be healthy depending on what you get!) way to get a great meal when I'm on the go. They almost always get the order perfectly right & if they don't, they won't hesitate to fix it right away.

Usually go to the Germantown location however our family decided to avoid traffic and visited this one last night. Really nice interior with lots of tables. Menu is more limited than Germantown and no self serve soda here. There are plenty of cold options to choose from before ordering and there is free water is available in the middle of the room. Food was good and delivered to the table pretty quickly despite the robust carryout business going on. Good portions, presented nicely. The Germantown location serves the Pollo saltado over rice this location had larger plates and separated the rice from the stir fry. Either way it was tasty.

We love this place, they have very reasonable prices on all their huge meals, I have never left hungry from this place and the staff is friendly. They keep their bathrooms spotless.

Tried their chicken. Was not very impressed. Had half chicken- it was very dry and the spice flavor was present only on the skin. This made it very hard for me to finish it in one go as I got bored of the chicken. Their price was reasonable for the quantity but I have had much better chicken in Gaithersburg. Their yuca fries and plantains were good though.

I've always had subpar experiences when it came to Don Pollo & I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt but still just lets me down.Came in today & wasn't greeted very well, wasn't so busy but didn't bother me, I've had the chicken here & I'm not a much of a fan but today it was the only place around I could go to eat. Decided to try the Lomo Saltado here & for $17 plus a can coke totaling all together $20.45, I felt slighted as soon as I got my food.First impressions it looked great however when it came to finally taste it it wasn't what I was expecting, maybe I was expecting too much? but I continued. I was only given around 8-9 little pieces of cut steak which was slightly a bit chewy, the flavor wasn't as bold either. There was definitely a overkill on onions, peppers, & veggies. It was served with some white rice which let me be honest wasn't as great as it should've been for plain white rice.Paying $17 for a lomo saltado for the quantity I was given wasn't worth it. Taste wasn't worth it as well, I've had Lomo Saltado from different places who have actually done way better. You could say I set myself up expecting some good steak from a place known for mostly its chicken but there should at least be some balance between the foods, as I said before the chicken here isn't all that as well. I'm giving them a 3 star because of the short wait time & the soda. Place I spacious & clean as well but the food is where they fall short.Would I recommend this place? sure if you're hungry enough to eat some semi decent chicken. Would I recommend the steak? No I would not. Save your money & buy yourself something better worth $17.
