Small hiccups of needing more silverware or plates but otherwise a very nice time. Food was prompt, tasted great and the atmosphere was fun. Would 100% go back.
Excellent food, service & atmosphere!
Yummy yummy food ????very clean place the staff are very friendly aswell
Two separate occasions: 1. Late Saturday night dinner (kitchen closes at 11:30pm and 2 servers were on the floor) & 2. Wednesday after work appetizers and drinks (sat outside) If you are arriving here straight from work (6pm) order your drinks/apps bc it does get busy and service can be slow bc of the volume of people coming in. I didn’t understand the rotation of servers outside especially serving my coworkers and I (party of 7) I had to stack the unused plates and empty glasses. It just looked messy. I love sitting outside especially when it was a perfect evening to. The food tho: soo good. I found out that CF is a branch of Patsys in Tyson’s… overall, I love this place.
Overall we enjoyed our recent dinner at Coastal Flats in Gaithersburg. We came to the restaurant on a Monday evening without reservations. We entered the restaurant and the hostess greeted us and asked if we had reservations. We replied no and she took a few minutes to check dining room status. She then escorted us to a booth in the dining room. We love the overall ambiance of the dining room. Lots of fun fish hanging from the ceiling and interesting art work on the walls. We had a view of the exhibition kitchen. Our server Alexander came to the table and inquired if we would like beverages. My guests ordered an Arnold Palmer ($4.00) and a glass of Columbia Crest Cabernet Sauvignon 9oz ($12.00), I ordered a Stella Pinot Grigio glass 9oz ($13.00) The restaurant has a nice wine list offering and many offered by the glass in either 6 or 9 oz pours, After serving beverage we placed our order with him. I asked what the fish of the day was and he described it and the price (Red Snapper $35),, I then asked what the market price of the crab cakes were and he replied $45. I ordered the crab cakes with spinach and cole slaw. My guests ordered the Fish Fingers ($18) and Babycake Sliders (2) ($10.00). I also asked for some bread service ($1.00), Alexander brought what was some doughnut type of bread with honey butter. The restaurant makes a donation of $1.00 when you order bread service to help improve food insecurity in the community. Food was served quickly and was prepared as expected. The cole slaw was some of the best I have ever had, crisp and fresh. My crab cakes were prepared to perfection and while $45 seems like a lot I know that the restaurant is paying premium prices for lump crab meat. My wife loved her fish fingers, a generous portion and my other guest enjoyed her sliders. After dinner our plates got cleared by another server Alyssa who also took our dessert order. We decided to share a piece of their Key Lime Pie ($8.00). A good decision and we highly recommend this dessert. Alyssa brought our check and wished us a good day. I asked if her and Alexander were partners and she replied that they were responsible for the area where our table was. Both servers were friendly but could would have enhanced the dining experience with some small talk conversation and building of rapport with us,.
We walked in and was greeted with smiling faces, clean restaurant and they have an open kitchen. Everything tasted good and was seasoned well. Deviled eggs, soup, shrimp roll, and you must order the warm bread. Bring powered sugar because it’s sprinkle on top then it will taste like a donut. The “bread pudding” was delicious. It really isn’t bread pudding they just need to change name of dessert. Enjoy/- you can’t go wrong with any dish!
Literally nothing bad to say about this spot. Christina was an amazing server. So personable and held down all of her tables effortlessly. The food was bomb (as usual) and the sweet tea is my fave non-alcoholic drink but the cocktail menu is ?? too!Highly recommend and on a nice day outside area is the best!
The service was okay, but the food was just average. My Caesar salad was drenched in garlicky dressing and my crab cakes were only about two inches in diameter (two crab cakes for $45). One fish dish we ordered had a peculiar taste to it. I will probably look for another place next time.
This restaurant is very consistent with its quality options and servers are pleasant. The deviled eggs. The Crispy Two Noodle Shrimp Salad and Waldorf Steak Salad were very good and recommended.
Always a wonderful experience. Kind servers, great food!
