First visit wont be last for sure.Tasty Food and Great service.Nice ambianceA Go to place for south Indian food.We tried Paneer tikka masala which was average.Portion was goodGoat biryani was good and the best was Arbi 65 vegetarianRobert and Nagarajan took good care of us.Anyone who loves south Indian cuisine will like this place.
Very good Food. Authentic dosa.
This is my third visit to chennai hoppers and it is one of my favorite restaurants now. Chicken65 deep fried in coconut oil is very aromatic and tasty. Virudhunagar Goat chukka kari dosa with curry leaves and green chilli reminded me of my hometown flavors. Chicken biriyani joined our menu nicely for taste buds. The badam milk was subtle and okay to try. Onion pakora, chicken lollipop, chicken kothu parota and Goat dum biriyani from my previous visit were also amazing. I would recommend chennai hoppers for my friends.
We went to Chennai Hoppers last night for dinner for the first time and were surprised by how amazing their food was! The flavor of the dishes were very rich and unique. It is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in my area. Customer service was great, the price is very reasonable and the portion is bigger than other local Indian restaurants. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely visit again soon.
We dined in back in september and now they don't have dine in facilities due to covid. We went to get Kottu and Appam. Both were delicious. But little bit expensive. Appam was very expensive for the amount they offer. It has the indian taste. Kottu is recommended if you are looking for some. Would visit again. Very fancy and staff was very friendly. Order was made within about 20 mins.
Ahhh real South Indian food in the area WITH a beautiful ambience and great service - what??! The best Indian restaurant in the area, especially for authentic South Indian food. Beautiful plating, high-quality ingredients, reasonable pricing. Go and support this local business that opened during the pandemic!
Hands down the most exquisite tamilnadu cuisine I have ever tasted in here. Began our meal with a strong and flavouful paya soup. Taro(cheppankizhangu) 65 made us remember fighting over it with my sibling. Nei thatta idly with podi and chicken ghee toast need a special mention for the perfection of the masalas in it. Ceylon paratha gave us the authentic tamilnadu feel for us as it's crispy and buttery. The dessert lala kauai halwa is a feast for sweet lovers. The restaurant has wowed us at every aspect.
This place definitely has great curry. Curries had the right spice level and oil. Chicken it was more like shredded chicken not what you usually find in the chicken curry. They know how to make parotas and Nan breads.Nethili meen fry and chicken lollipop was yum yum. Chicken wasn't dry it had good texture.Briyani they are okie. Last time I tried, the goat pieces did not blend with the rice. The rice was more like tomato rice. I couldn't differentiate between the vegetable and goat briyani rice. They don't offer different spice level. I understand the concern. Please beware of the spice level when buying.Friendly and helpful people. Carryout bag and boxes sturdy and ease of carrying.I will return to this restaurant for curry and bread for sure.
Mind blowing food, beautiful ambiance, the decor made me pause many times, very friendly wait staff-Raj and another staff from Peru were delightful and is the reason we miss in-person dining. This was our first INDOOR dining experience since March 2020. I felt brave to go since we were vaxxed and boosted and the place was not very crowded and had outdoor seating if we needed to move. We knew no one who had tried this place and we went just to try the hoppers! EVERYTHING we ordered was perfection. The Adda Chukka which is lamb cut up in small pieces and fried with magical spices to make a party in your mouth is a must try. We forgot the stress of the last 21 months and this place made us remember what it was like to dine at great restaurants. This is soon going to be the not-so-hidden gem anymore for DMV-ians. We also tried their fish in banana leaf-DELECTABLE. Their appam was absolutely delish too. And as an anniversary treat, we got treated to hot Gulab jamun. The kool thing is that since they are understaffed, they have created a QR code so you can sit at your table and order the food. Please make reservation because they pack up quick. MUST TRY if you want to try other flavors of INDIA. The chef has created an amazing menu! SO happy that this was the first place we went to celebrate a milestone anniversary!!! We will be back with friends and family and colleagues!
We ordered a variety of dishes. Some of them were extremely tasty (thattu nei podi idli and sambar), Halwa, Nanari sherbet. Also the ambiance was great. I still wanted to go and try some more dishes.
