I love when I can find a restaurant with vegetarian choices. Tulip Grill did not disappoint! I ordered the Spinach & potato and rice as sides with Garlic Naan. The rice was cooked just right and the spinach and potato was delish! It had just a little hint of heat that was perfect. I will definitely try again to see if they can earn that 5th star!
I had read all of these glowing reviews so we went here for lunch hoping for great things. Interior decor is very bland and uninspiring and server rarely came out of the kitchen. We waited long stretches for him to come out even though we were the only people there. I ordered chicken biryani and it was flavorful but dry. I also ordered ginger ale and he brought me a can. I had to ask for a cup. Naan bread was unremarkable. I'll give it another try maybe someday.
This restaurant is a delicious addition to Frederick. The food is wonderful. I have never been to Pakistan, but I feel the food the Tulip Grill serves, is like having a mini trip to Pakistan for delicious, authentic food. Prices are reasonable, great online ordering system, excellent service. Also a nice little area for sitting down and eating in. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Pakistani and Middle Eastern food.
AMAZED at the Tulip. NOT EXPECTING my dinner to be the best Lamb I've ever had. ADD in the bread, the appetizers we ordered , Samosa Chart, Panorama. The service was very good and Ahmad was very nice. 5 star.
A lucky find on our gas station stop over in Maryland. The food is very delicious and the quantity is great for the price. Really enjoyed the chicken tikka platter and the chicken kadhai. Waiting to visit them again on our next road trip.
Friday 4 th was there for lunch with my wife. As supportive and accommodating as I wish to be towards ethnic food establishment. This one was way below par. The biryani was flavourless, and like masala rice. the lamb karahi was obviously defrosted, recooked and served. The essence of karahi, that is preparation in karahi was missing. What’s worse there weren’t any accomplishments with the biryani like a raitha or baigan. At 18 for lamb and 13 for biryani it seemed not value for money. And now what’s with new tipping suggestions at 18,20 &22. There must be a law against this. I went with 15, one more thing, missed the bones in lamb. Perhaps it helps in freezing the meet longer?
My brother and I go to this place a lot for this giant platter of rice and meat (perfect for bachelors or people who don’t cook it lasts us 4-5 days) and the guy forgot his nan Bread so he called my brother up and personally delivered it. What a nice guy! We’ definitely be back.
I love this restaurant!! The food is so amazing, the waitress is outstanding and who always has a smile. Excellent food portions, the meat is tender full of flavor. I always enjoy the hot tea and syrup.
