A forever customer!! We first worked with Megan from Sweet and Savory in 2016 when she created our wedding cake and we’ve been hooked since :) Since then we’ve gone back to place orders for my sisters graduation - she made an awesome Towson Grad cake- our daughters birthday cakes for 1 and 2 years, which was adorably themed for her birthday at the barn and Wonderland for her 1st with an amazing Cheshire cat- and most recently gender reveal cupcakes! Her buttercream flavor is delicious and the whole cakes always come out delicious and beautiful! All of our guests always compliment the cakes because of sight and flavor and ask where it’s from!We’ve obviously had other cakes at other events from local vendors and they do not compare in taste and texture to Sweet & Savory :)We hope she always keeps her doors open because we will continue to seek her for our events that require cake/pastries :)
Sweet & Savory Bake Shop cakes are absolutely delicious and beautiful! Meghan, the owner, was communicative and helpful throughout the process/tastings. You MUST try the wine infused cake/icing line. The chardonnay spice cake with the champagne butter cream is absolutely amazing. Our guests raved about the cake. We ordered a 3 tiered cake for 100 people (only had 80 guests), 3 different flavors and it was all gone by the end of the night. Highly recommend! Can't wait for our 1 year anniversary cake! :)
Pregnant and craving A chocolate croissant. Drove from Thurmont to learn they are NOT OPEN TO CUSTOMERS. Don't waste the time. Go to Wegmans
I have been meaning to rate this bakery for months. My experience here was fantastic. I had a special unique request and the girls hit it out of the park.Not on their menu I asked for a pie-caken, they were excited for the task. We went with a spice cake and apple pie. The cake was fantastic my favorite was the frosting ?, and the pie... yes the flavors were on point. When you are ordering your birthday cake or holiday pies I highly recommend Sweet and Savory.
We ordered cupcakes for a friend's birthday and they were delicious and a huge hit!! Great service, easy pick up and loved the variety to choose from. Also great convenient location. Will definitely be trying other items in the future !!
I love Sweet & Savory! Their Key Lime pie is better than the pie in Key West. Their Nutella banana crepe cake was absolutely divine! My favorite cupcake is the red velvet cupcake- Always nice to stop by— it’s tough running a small business these days with all the shortages—you will see me again!

Best bakery in Frederick by far! I'm getting married later this year so we picked up some cupcakes, which were adorable and scrumptious, and a variety of incredible cookies! OMG they were SO GOOD!!! We talked with the owner Meghan and scheduled a tasting when we can have a tasting of everything. I can't wait! She was so gracious and polite even though they were busy on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend!
called sweet and savory but there is nothing sweet or savory about this place. Nice location and clean on the inside, but the desserts were very amateur. Cupcakes looked like I could’ve bought them from the local weis. Buckeye pie tasted like straight peanut butter and not like a dessert. Don’t waste your time or money here.
Beautiful place and location, but very mediocre desserts. The cupcakes were bland and looked like they were made by a 5 year old. The buckeye pie felt like it was a spoonful of peanut butter in your mouth. Nothing special about this place. Dissatisfied with the lack of desserts.
