Traveling south found this place after touring the fields at Gettysburg. Great sandwiches,clean,friendly and reasonably priced. Even lets your doggies in... highly recommended
Wow the sandwiches here are good. There's a reason this place doesn't stay open past 4 pm. It picks up breakfast and the lunch crowd and reaps the benefits. Making it through the pandemic is no joke either. Hope this place stays afloat
The sandwich had excellent bread, the meat was poor quality especially for a sandwich shop. My pastrami had no flavor and was soft like bologna. Ingredients did not reflect the claims.
Expected more from what could have been a neat, cool little sandwich shop. Menu sandwiches sounded good on the overhead menu but when the food came to the table, we were let down big time. The Rosemary sandwich was a good concept but the meat was sliced pressed turkey, not the roasted turkey listed on the menu, and the grilled sourdough was barely crisp, and overly greasy from oil or butter. The other two sandwiches, the Memphis and Cancun, were of similar disappointment. Would not recommend or go back myself unless food gets upgraded. Look for other local food options.
Ordered the Frederick with Turkey and oh man, it’s my new favorite sandwich!! Absolutely fabulous. Service was awesome too
I ordered Pastrami sandwich. Customer didn't give me the receipt and one of them irresponsible to answer my question about the receipt. The Pastrami was the worst sandwich I haven't had because it's ONLY had 3 slices of pastrami with a lot of Cole slaw inside and not come with Rye bread?!! Ridiculous expensive in MD!! That's rip off! New York is one of the BEST Pastrami sandwich. It's making from Jewish family business and the slices of Pastrami was HUGE one! Look at the picture of Pastrami sandwich at Harold's New York Deli! I will never go back to South Market Sandwich Company again!!! Very disappointed!!
One of the BEST sandwich shops I have ordered from, anywhere. Everything I have tried, I would get again. However, I think I did find my new FAVORITE today, the Havanna..........so yummy!!!
I CANNOT stress to you enough how amazing their sandwiches are! ? I actually CRAVE them. Everything is so fresh. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very personable. Run, don't walk, to grab breakfast or lunch from here! Just be sure to get it before they close for the day if you are craving a sandwich from South Market Sandwich Company! ?♀️?
I'm from Philly and know a good Italian hoagie. This place used to be great. New owners are ruining the place. Lunch meat should be sliced thin. These guys are using thick slices. Makes the sandwich touch and not desirable.
