What a nice surprise! I expected the usual bar/beer food (chicken tenders, fries, soggy veggies, iceberg lettuce) but was so pleasantly surprised with a diverse menu (Brie avocado apple sandwich on a fresh delicious bun?!) Bacon brussel sprouts, potatoes, and of course burgers, with special attention to fresh buns…would drive the hour to get here again. AND beer! 20 varieties on tap, flights too.
Excellent elevated pub food. Menu is always changing so there's usually something new to try. They have at least 20 beers on tap from a variety of local and national craft breweries.
I've been coming here since the first time they opened. I love this place. Food and service both arw amazing. Sorry, I didn't take pictures of my food this time. Experience it yourself, you'll love it. Ingrid was awesome and lover her service and hospitality.
Fun place. Intimate with great knowledgeable and friendly staff. The unique boards listing the beers on tap are fantastic. Multiple sizes of each pour available. You can watch how the kegs are dropping and what kegs are due to be tapped. The selection of brews is broad and were all good.The food menu is diverse and quite excellent. They are known for their burgers. The crab dip with optional goat cheese was delicious. The corned beef in honor of St Patrick’s day was wonderful and plentiful.It is bright and colorful atmosphere. The decor is stylish. Frederick has quite a beer scene and this place is a must do.
Roasthouse has the best, most consistently well made food in a casual setting with 20 different beers on tap. Salads are fresh hand made, not a bunch of machine chopped lettuce. Entrees range from a thick chunk of halibut in miso to excellent jerk chicken tacos. There are burgers, and excellent ones, but I don’t think french fries and wings are served with them, and that’s refreshing! Bread pudding is divine! The house red is better than most. Cocktails are hit and miss~stick to the other liquids! We have probably eaten here 150 times in six years and always look forward to our return~
Elevated bar food, amazing beer selection on tap, laidback vibe. Their burgers are perfect. All the sides and appetizers are good - and they pair great with a cold beer! I love that it offers an elevated menu but still has a very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Great kids menu too!
Lots and lots of beers to try, here. I'm not s fan of most but that's because I don't like microbrews. The food was excellent. However, we were advised the burger of the day (which was pasta and mozzarella on a burger) wasn't great and was only there because they were trying to get rid of the pasta from the night before! Not what you want to hear. We also ordered something gluten free, and right before taking a bite the server came out to make sure we had not had the sauce (it was for the salmon) because it wasn't actually gluten free. Not bad, but the experience with the servers left much to be desired.
Nice find. Tasty food and good selection of IPAs on draft. Not your typical bar food. They have some good salads and vegetarian options. Will be back.
Several times in a row the medium rare burger came BURNED. This place used to be unique. Now it is simply mediocre. The beer is nice , food is not worth anything
Flavorful food, friendly staff. Sampled a local hard cider and a porter. The smoked turkey tacos and burger were fresh & flavorful. Will definitely return.
