I have been here twice and each time, my food was lacking flavor. There was little to no seasoning on my breakfast sandwich the first time. The wait was also very long.I got the fried chicken sandwich and there was barely any aioli sauce and the chicken was crusty and hard at the ends. The sandwich was very dry. I would have gotten an extra sauce on the side, but it was $1.50 on the menu. That seems high for extra sauce. I had to add my own sauce to the sandwich. The prices are high and the food isn't that great. Food seems to be made fresh, but takes awhile.
I’ve used Pumpernickle & Rye’s catering services twice now & they deliver such delicious, quality, seasonal, & scrumptious meals. Total crowd pleaser, everyone raves over the food! Their presentation is also beautiful & thought out. My husband & I love to come into the cafe on Sunday afternoons for carefully curated lunches as well. The fried green tomato on a beef sandwich? SO GOOD. If you’re thinking about trying this place out, please do!10/10
The cutest cafe ever!!! I love the decor and the vibe throughout the entire store. They also sell lots of different local and small business products (drinks, snacks, baked goods).This is one of the few restaurants and businesses that I have ever seen that is transparent with their composting program. Pump+rye is partnered with Key City Compost and actually composts all their compostable products!! I was so excited to see this partnership. What a great idea!The chai latte is delicious. There are also great pastries from a local bakery.
Underwhelmed by our first visit. The lattes were just meh, our bagel sandwiches were not warm enough, and the service was just fine. I expected much more from this place after reading reviews.The atmosphere is perfect and I love the decor choices. It has a cool vibe for sure, but I just couldn't get over the disappointing food. Maybe I had too high of expectations? The menu looks delicious, but after the unimpressive breakfast, I am not rushing back to try the lunch options anytime soon.
Excellent place to get a nice cup of coffee after your morning walk or bike. Very nice collection of cakes, with a mini cake on top of your cup. This is one of the must go places for me and my wife when we're in Tampa.
Delicious sandwich and coffee! What a gem. We're so glad we found this place for lunch on the way home from DC. Tons of options and everything can be customized if you can't find what you're looking for.
I cannot understand the reasoning behind serving a customer a bagel with cream cheese on the side. The whole point of serving the customer is to complete the order in its entirety. Do you make sandwiches with all the meat and cheeses on the side too?Bagels themselves are okay.. for some reason they got rid of jalapeño cheddar. Menu should be updated to reflect this.
First time visit. Really cute cafe, delicious sandwiches, ample parking. Will definitely be back!
Pump + Rye catered our Rehearsal Dinner the night before our wedding, and to say that they did an incredible job would be a true understatement. My partner and I met while traveling abroad for a year, so when we were thinking about what we might want to do for our food for the rehearsal we knew we wanted to incorporate our travels in some way. When we approached Megan and Amy, we came with a bold ask - we wanted their help in created a curated menu based on the places we had traveled and the food we loved eating during our time abroad. After we explained what we were looking to do, Chef Amy enthusiastically responded that she was up for the task, and she did not disappoint! Not only did our friends and family rave about the food (they are still talking about it), but Megan and Amy really went the extra mile in how they presented the food by brining in a globe, adding beautiful tent cards that explained each dish, and more. There's truly no way we could have had such a unique and delicious menu without their help. To Megan, Amy, and the entire team at Pump + Rye, thank you for truly making our rehearsal dinner a reflection of who we are and the foods we love - we appreciate everything you did to make our night special and will be singing your praises for years to come!
I just had a wonderful "The Lox Smith" on an Everything Bagel. It was absolutely delicious!!! I'm gonna become a regular at "Pumpernickle & Rye" Yum, their menu has some many options, it's hard deciding what I want to try next. Thank you for a wonderful experience. From the moment I entered I was immediately greeted by Micheal. My order was taken and in now time my sandwich was ready. A fantastic experience.
