Yum yum sauce had an off taste to it asked the chef if it was good he said yes when he picked up the container to refill the yum yum sauce you could see mold on the side of the container only then did he offer to remake my food no one else's cuz I told them that I had put yum yum all over my food. They did remake my chicken and rice and did not even offer to remake my daughters. I mentioned it to the manager as I was leaving about The moldy sauce his remark was oh I'll look into it. And in case you are wondering yes we paid for the meal my daughter got sick within 50 minutes of leaving the restaurant. So I would highly recommend eating at your own risk there

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was great, the service was great, and the prices were reasonable. They even did a great job entertaining the multiple kids under 5 we had in our group!

More or less what you expect from hibachi. Delicious food with a fun presentation. Staff are very friendly and entertaining. Good choice of food including a full sushi bar.

We were a party of 8 and there to celebrate a birthday. Some of those with us, including the birthday girl, had never experienced hibachi. Our chef made the experience so much fun and the entire evening that much better. We laughed so hard and thoroughly enjoyed our family dinner.

So this place is well known for dinner and a show. As you can see from my total this place is NOT worth the money. We got burnt rice and vegetables with almost no show. Then they included 18% gratuity without giving you a choice …. And since my experience was terrible I would have never given them that. Not to mention we got charged $50 for shrimp hibachi which I thought included the fried rice but as you can see we got charged $7.50 for each rice. This is out of control. Be warned you pay $50 for you entree plus vegetables rice not included

Good news! Gratuity is included, so the waitstaff can treat you however they want! This was our first visit to Miyako. It looked incredibly promising. Our local hibachi restaurant has been so short staffed lately that the quality of the food and service has noticeably gone down, so my husband and I decided to try up in Frederick. The good: our chef was excellent, and the overall food quality was good. Drink service and selection was good. The restaurant did an excellent job of accommodating another guest at our table who had severe food allergies - she was very happy and was able to enjoy her meal safely! The different: the soup was very salty and had a much beefier taste than other similar hibachi restaurants we have been to. It was not unpleasant, but it was not what I would consider a traditional Japanese flavor. The salad dressing had a more peanut-y flavor - lovely, but unexpected, and is something for those with food allergies to take note of. Now for the BAD: After everyone had been served their fried rice, my husband had not yet received his order of steamed rice. Keep in mind that white rice is the DEFAULT option here, and that fried rice is extra. The waitress told us that she had told him they were out of white rice when he placed his order, and that he had substituted extra vegetables instead. This is absolutely untrue. He asked for white rice AND for extra vegetables. Our waitress claimed that the restaurant had been out of white rice for "HOURS". Meanwhile, the table next to us had been served white rice just minutes earlier - their dinner show had not started until after we had been seated. She tried to show me what had been ordered on her notepad by referring to an illegible greasy ink splotch. We informed her that she had in fact not said anything about the rice availability when we placed our orders and that if the extra veggies were in fact a substitution for an unavailable item, then we should not be charged for them. She became incredibly adversarial and said "You know, SOMETIMES...with CUSTOMERS....", and then abruptly stormed off. A minute later she returned with....A BOWL OF STEAMED RICE! None of this makes sense. We were happy to have the rice, and we were in fact not charged for the extra veggies. There was an interesting addition to the bill of "complementary steamed rice" for $0, as though it was a special request and not, as mentioned earlier, the default option. Sadly, we still had to pay the automatically included gratuity of 18%, for a party of two. Now, my usual minimum tip is over 20%. It's not about the amount. Clearly this establishment needs to safeguard against atrocious service via the auto-grat. I do not write many reviews. I am not a "Karen". I did not even ask to speak to the manager here. Maybe the fact that our waitress assumed I was one of these people is more reflective of the general clientele than it is of the level of professionalism of the staff here, but who knows. Our first visit to this restaurant will absolutely be our last.

Food and service is really good but you have to check your receipt carefully. They counted our 8 month old granddaughter who did not eat any of the restaurant food as a 6th guest so they could add an 18% gratuity. I usually leave at least a 20% tip but since they felt like adding the gratuity, which by definition is a tip, that's all the gratuity they got from me.

Awesome service and good food. Tried the hibachi steak, and it was cooked perfectly. We recommend.

Japanese restaurant stuck in the early 90's. Not much authentic on the menu. Smoky inside on several occasions. Clearly vents aren't working. I like it here anyway, despite the flaws. Needs to be remodeled and updated.Behind the times. Shame.

You want disgusting flavorless food, this is place to go. And I’m about to tell the world because the service we just received was hands down the worst. The drink I ordered had debris floating, so we sent it back. They brought out an overly sweet drink with 0 alcohol. Not the same drink that we had before. The hibachi if that’s even what you want to call it had 0 flavor. The soup and salad wasn’t even offered until the bill was given. No apologies were given but they threw 18% gratuity on the bill with no issue. Do not go here.
