My husband and I moved to the area from Memphis TN about 2 years ago. We have tried several different BBQ places around here but there was always something that we didn't like..We decided to try out this place a couple of weeks ago and I'm so glad that we did! The food is AMAZING!!! The brisket was so juicy and tender..my husband said he could tell it was going to be good just by looking at it lol..I love that they have different BBQ sauces that are associated with different states..there really is a sauce for everyone..my husband likes the Texas sauce and I like the West Virginia and Memphis sauces..and I love how involved they are with the community and the military and military families..but the best part was most definitely the service! We told the cashier that this was our first time there and he was so nice and patient with us..he also gave my husband and I both a free side for being first time customers..then we met the manager (Josh) and he was the true definition of above and beyond! He asked if we were enjoying our food after we had a chance to taste everything and of course we were (it was delicious) and he told us a little bit about the company..he gave us both a coupon for a free sandwich on our next visit and gave us a business card with information about signing up for their birthday club to receive a free sandwich on our birthdays..he was very attentive to the other guests in the restaurant as well...he went around to every table making sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves and he even gave everyone a small piece of a brownie..and when he wasn’t checking on the guests he was behind the counter and cleaning tables etc. He was just so nice and friendly that he made the entire experience even better!! Needless to say we have found our BBQ place!! I would recommend this place a thousand times over!!
We have enjoyed Mission BBQ dining in their restaurants for years. This time, however, we ordered a large catering meal (70 people) for our oldest child's high school celebration. The staff (Nancy in Frederick) was on point from the order, to confirmation to pick up on day of delivery. The food was phenomenal as always but the outfit (Mission BBQ) really gets hw to present their goods well. We also took home some sides and BBQ sauces. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you and God Bless. ?
First I would like to tell you about the food. If you like BBQ your in for a treat. From turkey to brisket and back to chicken all excellent. Tender tasty and your choice of sauce on table. Service was awesome give the order at the counter get your drink short wait they call your name. And all important the Frederick M.D restaurant I visited was clean. And I watched an employee clean all the BBQ sauce bottles on tables I ask her she said this was done daily no exceptions. So if your have a hankering for some good wholesome American Food. With generous portions and a clean family environment this is the place.
From the National Anthem to the iconic License plate and soulful tender brisket or pulled meats on my plate. It was patriotic to stand up and let my kids know by singing out loud in a practical way what Mission BBQ is all about. By the way I wiped my plate clean, no food waste.
We used Mission BBQ for our rehearsal dinner and they did a great job! Delivery was on-time, set up was quick and neat. The food was DELICIOUS and the price-point was just right for us. Love their mission, too!

wonderful staff honor the military. great food
I got the 3 meat plate (it come with cornbread) and it got a side of fresh-cut fries. The fries are sold separate but TOTALLY worth it! They have Old Bay there which was a huge bonus because I love smothering my fries in it.They ask you if you want the fattier or leaner beef brisket, I got the fatty and it was outstanding. The pulled pork was amazing too. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they gave me older jalapeño/cheese sausage. It was a bit dry. After I took it home and microwaved it, the juices came back out it was really good though. They have 6 BBQ sauces and I loved them all. There was 3 in our party and we all loved our food. We WILL be back! Oh and I LOVE the PATRIOTISM!!! ????????
Wow. Our first-ever visit to a Mission BBQ was off-the-charts fantastic. And, yes, the wonderful food my wife and I had was a huge part of that "wow". The pulled pork, turkey, and sides were all delicious (and be sure to try all of the very different and very good sauces on the table). That said, the people of the Frederick, MD location took the experience to another level for us. From Charlie, who took our order, to Lexi, who went out of her way to "tweak" the order perfectly for us, to Lisa (the "Community Ambassador" on site), who, well, made us feel like family. We left feeling very well fed, and very well taken care of.
I had the chopped briquet sandwich and baked beans on 3/9/22. The sandwich was very good. I wanted the sandwich, beans and potato salad. The order taker said that they didn't have potato salad. They might have it in the summer. I didn't know potato salad was a seasonal side. I'm visiting the area, and know I can get it back home.
