Overpriced for what was basically french fries and grilled chicken. The chicken was not dry but everything lacked seasoning..even the sauces. The menu is also slightly misleading...the skewers do not come with rice and a choice of yucca or fries but rather rice, fries or yucca. Would not seek them out again based on this experience.
What a delightful place to enjoy a late lunch. My husband and I shared a meal for two and it was delicious!

As I told Mr. Valesquez, who is the chef and owns the restaurant, all week long with my wife and I being on vacation that since we had no plane fares nor car rentals to pay, we`ve been wining and dining it all week--we`d done positive reviews of all of those places and his Frederick restaurant will be the latest. I`m making good on that promise. My wife Stefanie said her Seco de Carne was excellent, along with her passion fruit drink and my Tasting Kabobs was also wonderful with perfectly done shrimp & chicken & and beef. To go with our dishes was a small 3-compartment dish with three different sauces with a little spoon to add what you wanted to customize each mouthful. The added bonus of the kabob fare was a vegetable variety in a light sauce, the taste of which was indescribably delicious. I added to that a 16 oz. can of Mayta`s Peruvian Coffee Stout made from Peruvian coffee beans and brewed right there in Frederick. As to the entire meal at Mayta`s our respective palates danced with joy! What more can you ask?

Had dinner here thanks to TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! Husband had the roasted chicken, very good but I preferred my chicken kabobs with veggies, more seasoned. Plantains were terrific and I have never had a side dish of them before that I could not finish. Black beans were also quite tasty. Husband enjoyed the beer that this establishment brews and offers in cans. Great service and friendly owner. Deserves the excellent reviews.

Had dinner there twice. First with my wife and then with three other family members. Nice little restaurant. Food was excellent and very distinctive, prices were reasonable, and service was fine. Highly recommended.
Branching out during our COVID carry out adventures. Ordered the parrillada for two. It was a good introduction to the menu. The chicken was our favorite. We also really enjoyed the plantains and chaufa rice.
