Had great experience at Mays, crabs were heavy and the drinks kept coming. Great food, Great service! We will definitely be coming back, Thanks Aleecia for making our night so enjoyable, we will be asking for you next time 😁
Recently had a late lunch w friends at May's. The waitress definitely should not be a waitress. When asked about MP items she told me to scan a code. Internet is not the best, so 2 phones could not do it. Finally was able to coax the prices out of her. I was made to feel we were putting her out when asked for condiments and boxes . Told there was an extra charge for a lemon after being given the thinnest lemon slice I've ever seen, also same for mayonnaise. Woman's restroom seat was broken and no soap to wash your hands. I realize costs are crazy right now but the entrées are not cheap. Never again.
Food was fantastic!! We enjoyed our Llama Loving server. She was very helpful. Crabs were great!!
The best Maryland seafood restaurant restaurant. We eat here very time we are in the area. Great staff, they go out of their way to make you feel like you are at home. Best all lump carb cake around, no filler, great food.
First time. Friendly server. The food was amazing. We tried the fried Clams...fresh and delicious, not overly breaded. The Maryland Crab Soup was amazing. Entrees were Broiled Seafood Platter and fresh Oysters...the husband claims it was the best Seafood Platter he has ever had...it's a Beach Shack...not much to look at, but the food was really good.
I’ve been waiting to try May’s and finally have. My wife and I headed in and was greeted by the team at the front. Our to-be waitress was fiddling with menus, then led us to a table. Was just confusing since she didn’t ask if it would just be us, but was correct. We asked for patio seating, which was advertised on a sign outside that it was open for the season. She said we couldn’t seat in patio because they didn’t have a staff member assigned to it. Well we ended up sitting inside which neither of us liked. It felt very truck stop cafe, and the staff not busy at the moment stood by the kitchen/order window socializing and sometimes swearing. I went with the all you can eat crab special, which was unlimited crabs and fries. I was there for just crabs but fries kept coming without me even asking or wanting. Was kind of odd that a crab joint didn’t have the tables already “brown papered”, and was awkward that the waitress came to lay it on being we had to lift our drinks and such for her to do so. Most of the crabs I got were very light, and I was never asked if I wanted butter along with. My wife wasn’t asked about her meat doneness, although the waitress did return to ask. Overall, we personally did not have a very positive experience. I liked the menu diversity and would’ve loved to tried other things, but there are other crab shacks I’m easily more loyal to as a customer.
The outdoor covered patio provides a beach vibe. Great service. We all enjoyed the food. I love the option for a bucket of clams. Only quibble was a quite overcooked order of steamed shrimp (others shrimp orders were fine so a fluke I imagine).
Great service and a great menu!
