I reluctant to leave this review.. especially because the costumer service here certainly meets the needs! However I feel robbed!!! :( let me start by saying I am from Baltimore, granted Maryland seafood/crabs will never compare.. furthermore this is my second attempt at this resturaunt the first time my crabs were kinda light & barley seasoned however they are located conveniently 4 min down the road.. the way gas prices are & being a crab eater almost everyday.. sounded like a win win! Nope!!! I call the restaurant to place a 1/2 dozen order.. (I usually can not eat more then that in one setting) the lady on the phone, very nice says one dozen of Med Males will be 65$ a doz… Not to bad.. I order a half dozen. I walk in to pick up my order.. paid and tipped the resturaunt.. I get in the car & upon checking the receipt I notice I’m charged 35$ for half of a dozen, half of 65$ Is 32.50$ ☹️now I’m not sure why I was charged more then half the price of a dozen so I called the restaurant and asked why this happened and it was explained there half doz prices are not always the same.. huh?!! She repeated, their crabs do not always equal to half of what a dozen is priced.. ok ma’am duly noted!!So I’m over charged.. I tip you all & yet I get home to eat my crabs that has exactly 6 crabs in the bag!! No room for duds or mushy crabs.. shucks even super light ones :/ 6 crabs exactly! No legs thrown in nothing!! Sort of disappointing.. I begin with the first crab.. very mushy.. the second.. super light I believe the legs had more meat in that one.. ok prayers now.. on to the 3rd crab, I crack that boy open in hopes for a winner! Nope!!! Another very light crab!! I feel robbed!!! ☹️ despite the overly nice reviews I read & given this restaurant a second chance. I must say I will not be back!!
Great service. Food great but very pricey. Grateful that they were open for Easter dinner. Appreciated our waitress' attentiveness
Very good seafood, but not Baltimore. The shrimp were on the ok side. The crabs were good. However, their legs were pretty dried out. Then again, it was a slow day, so I imagine it's probably difficult to guesstimate the traffic on a Monday. Nevertheless, I got the all you can eat and I ate a good bit of food and enjoyed it. Service was day and good. Overall a great place, but you can't expect Baltimore in Maryland.
It was super busy. My friend took me there for my birthday. We were greeted and seated immediately. Nearly every seat in the entire place was taken. The scent of delicious was in the air. I have nothing bad to say about this family friendly establishment. I'm sure the food is delicious, as it was recommended by a friend. I just felt completely out of place and barely finished my Diet Coke. We paid and left.
Awesome food and great staff, I had delicious steamed crabs, my wife had a broiled crabcake and my son a cheeseburger... all the meals were very good !!!
This place is great! Unassuming, laid back, nothing fancy style atmosphere that's perfect for a seafood restaurant. We go about once a year for their all you can eat menu for their snow crab legs. Love it because you can get wings, ribs, clams, shrimp, sides and so much more included in the all you can eat (tiered menu for this which means you get the top tier ordered and below all you can eat). For those not interested in all you can eat, they also have an a la cart menu.
Very good food and service. It's tough to get in, so make reservations. The ladies were great and advised us that we could wait a bit and they would try to get us in since we did not have a reservation. They came through.
Liberty Road Seafood Restaurant in Frederick is a place that tries to get away with exorbitant prices (much higher than the online menu) for poorly made food and somehow they hope you think it's fancy, or worth it at all. It is not. Waste of time and money. My first time here for Valentine's with my girlfriend today was terrible. We waited 20 minutes for drinks when it was not very busy even with the holiday. Other tables were getting service; we were ignored. When I asked, the waitress blamed her not bringing our drinks on some "computer glitch" which somehow deleted only our drink order. Obvious BS. I ordered the surf & turf, NY strip MED WELL, with lobster tail, and for the low low price of $45.00 I got a bloody raw piece of steak, and a sad, soggy lobster tail. Was not fresh. Literally SOGGY without butter, either overcooked or old... even asking for a second beer was an ordeal. When I had to ask twice she blamed the bartender. The only good thing about our meal was the very basic fried onion rings and hush puppies, which are hard to screw up. When I told the waitress my steak was raw she wanted to take my entire plate with lobster back to the kitchen, just to finish cooking the damn thing. After I told her to bring a plate she took the steak and the exact same steak that I cut in 4 pieces was brought back to me, burnt in some parts and cooked apparently by a mean child. My steak was never cooked how I asked, but they don't care. The service and food are terrible, overpriced and honestly even Red Lobster is better since the servers and other workers have some clue how to do their job. After getting the check and trying to finish my beer the waitress kept pausing by my table and looking at the check for money as if trying to push us out. Among the worst restaurants we've ever been to. Skip Liberty Road Seafood.
Second time here and this place is awesome. Broiled Seafood platter and Jumbo Crabs were unbelievable. We had same sever Hillary both times and she is the most friendly and gave the best service I had in a long time. We will be back soon
Great place to relax and enjoy some beyond delicious food.
