Great food, cool vibe ?✌️!
I'm not from Frederick so I thought I'd try a new place for brunch, especially since I love donuts. After standing in line for 30 minutes, I finally got to order my donut. They were out of donuts. That's right - a donut shop was out of donuts. So I ordered something else that probably takes all of 5 minutes to prepare. After I sat and waited for my food for another 45 more minutes, I finally went up and kindly asked for my money back so I could leave because I couldn't wait any longer. "Oh your food just finished," was the reply. So I took my food and left without getting my money back and threw my food in the trash when I got home. This place is a joke. There are so many other nice places to eat in Frederick. Unless you've got hours to spare for some unidentifiable food on a couple slices of white bread, go anywhere else!
This place seems to be more about impressions than actual value. 1. They're closed on the first two mornings of the week you'd need coffee the most. Somewhat odd. 2. The cost vs quality of their food, vegan or not is laughably prohibitive. (Two donuts for $9.38 is a living joke). 3. There is an unnecessary pretence to the staff, where, when I order an item that is right in front of me on a rack, I must be given a number and then I stand there and wait...for small prepared items...that are in front of me. This practice wastes my time, when my expectation is that someone will grab my items, box them and then hand them to me so that I can go about my morning. This is painful especially when I'm the only person in the place. 4. No decaf. 5. Overly kitchy. I don't know how many times I can take listening to Counting Crows... Overall, ri-dic-u-lous-ly overpriced for average food, with a poor service operation who's closed on the two busiest days of the week, and trying -way- too hard to be kitchy. Speed up your service, make your prices far, faaar more realistic, serve more professional quality stuff including decaf, and ease up on the Counting Crows. Maybe then other non-emos will make more of a point to patronize the place. The items below were $9.38. Size comparison to my 9 year old petite daughters hand. Lolz....
PSA FOR FUTURE BRIDES WANTING DONUTS FROM GLORY DONUTS. Just so you know, I am extremely disappointed in Glory Donuts customer service. My husband and I contacted and spoke to a worker probably around January in regards to an order for 80 donuts for our wedding. We were told, yes no problem we can do that for you, just come back in a couple of months closer to date of wedding (May 28 2022) and we will narrow it down and book it. We went in a week or 2 later, in January , and spoke to the same worker, and said we are here to taste some donuts, we spoke to you on the phone. Still same response “ oh great yeah it won’t be an issue, we can do this for you, come back closer to time” My husband and I went back last weekend to verify our arrangement and put a payment down and verify the 80 donut order. We were told that no, they will not being doing this, the head baker retired and they aren’t doing orders. I understand people retire but you still own the number one rated donut store in frederick with commercial sized equipment to make donuts…. The manager spoke to the new head baker who then tried to haggle with us to just do 50 donuts!! I’m sorry this is a wedding and we can’t haggle, we need 80 donuts. We were told the only way they could provide us donuts would be to come the day of the wedding with to 4-5 different people so we could all order 2-3 dozen donuts and pretty much buy out the donuts for the day. And if that’s the case, what’s the difference if you just let me pay you in advanced for all the donuts your making that day?!?! NONE!!! I don’t see how this is acceptable, I had this planned since the beginning of the year, was told all was well, and then was told no, they will not accommodate us even with over a month notice, for just 80 basic donuts, no stuffing or anything! I like their donuts but we will no longer be supporting this local business. It’s a shame and a disappointment. The number one rated donut place in Frederick can’t even make 80 donuts with that much notice. BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!
The absolute BEST donut shop in Frederick, and it’s VEGAN!Non vegans can never anticipate or believe how amazingly delicious their donuts are!Their new location is much larger with more indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of free parking. It’s also adjacent to the Carroll Creek park, and a block from Baker Park, so that you can have a stroll to relax after your meal, or enjoy your food in the park.We love their totally vegan brunch options. Their specials change every day. Also, if you have specific requests (like gluten free or low carb, etc), they are happy to prepare your food as you like.We have known the owners since they started making vegan donuts many years ago and selling them at weekend pop up shops. We are so happy that they have been hugely successful in establishing one of the few vegan restaurants in Frederick! It’s a place that you simply cannot miss when you are in town! One important pointer…. They make small batches of donuts daily and will often sell out of several varieties, or even everything, before closing time. (They are hugely popular!!)Be sure to get there early if you want to have all of the choices for donuts, or if you want to buy a dozen or more.
Lovely place, food is delicious. We went there to get donuts, but it was all gone. Anyways, we tried the lunch menu and we didn't get disappointed. I totally recommend this place if you looking for healthier and vegan food.
“Your the one that I wonton” burger was delicious. Potatoes that came as a side were good too but needed salt.
Another spot to get delicious plant based food. An easy going vibe with delicious entrees and genuinely nice staff.
Support one of the best dessert places around.
I can not support a business that is ok with their 40something year old kitchen manager fraternizing with a 22year old girl. That is disgusting and should not be tolerated by either of their supervisors.
