Make sure you stop by during happy hour as there are drinks and appetizers on special. The drinks we ordered were great. The flavor combinations were hit or miss but the portion sizes are pretty big for the entrees. I ordered the seafood /shrimp scampi pasta and the sauce was wonderful but the shrimp tasted like freezer burn/old frozen shrimp.
This Italian restaurant is the best in Frederick area hands down!! Being from NJ where Italian food is a big staple and having lived in Italy before, I can say this place is a must! My husband and I attended a wedding rehearsal event there last month and we also just went back again for a double date because it was that amazing!! Their staff are top notch, very knowledgable and attentive! It's such a great romantic date night spot and their food will leave you wanting more even if you're full. For starters their fried calamari was to die for (seriously the perfect crisp and favor), along with their caprese salad, arancini, beef carpaccio. If you love a good caesar salad, just wait until you try theirs!! Their Marinara sauce is on point which is a must with Italian food if you know. Their veal parmigiana literally has me wanting more just thinking about it lol. Also their saltimbocca, shrimp scampi and veal marsala. They get their veal local so its super fresh! For dessert of course we had to get their cannoli's again.
Food is excellent. Staff are professional and knowledgeable. Makes you feel welcome. My wife and I have been going here for awhile now. Even when my wife was out state getting a lung transplant. I received a Valentines card at the hotel. Signed by all the staff. That made us feel very appreciative and special. Cucina Masi is the place to go.
The food here is incredible. We enjoyed it. Sitting inside was just a bit loud but outside was not available that night. Wait staff were great.
Ducked in to get out of an impending storm, glad we did. The food was delicious. We split a white pizza which was just delicious and then a pasta dish as well. The kitchen kindly split the pasta dish into two massive plates for us. The portions were more then enough for both of us and we took some home, which was just as delicious later. Will go back for more.
Three bars: two indoor and one outdoor. What’s not to like?
We stopped by impromptu on an early Saturday evening and the place was busy so a 45 minute wait was in order. We decided to sit at the bar and have drinks and apps. Unfortunately no photos but I had the tuna appetizer delicious but only 5 paper thin pieces and wife had the crab bisque, delicious. Bar service was fantastic. We were seated and our waitress Alex!! was as smooth as can be, great service. My sausage and peppers over linguine was terrific and wife had crab ravioli which was good going down but she got food poisoning! Sick for 2 days. I feel bad writing this review but you gotta take the good with the bad. But we will be going back again and recommend you do too!!!
Enjoyed the patio. Our food was fabulous. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Definitely will continue to go there. ❤️
We had a great Happy Hour at the Small Front Bar! Hubby had seared tuna and grilled calamari from the Happy Hour menu. I had Sausage and Peppers with an order of Garlic Bread from the regular menu- all very tasty and good portions!A beautiful, narrow building with numerous seating areas! Next time we plan to sit in their large open back patio - heated, nice ambiance, with a larger bar and table area ~ friendly wait staff!
The veal seemed more like a cutlet from Swanson's than a firm decent piece of real veal. Service was mediocre at best, had to search for our waitress several times. The cream of crab soup was quite good though. Certainly not worth the trip or the money, we had hoped for more.....
