I love this place so much. I've been coming here for over 15 years and it's been consistently amazing every single time. My day was from hell yesterday but stopped in for a chicken salad sandwich and as I had hoped it made me forget my day!!! Generous serving size and perfectly freshly prepared. Only problem is this awesome shop isn't open 24 hours ??
The gyro ($7.89) was decent. Super friendly staff. Worth a visit.
Great coffee and nice bagel selection.
My wife and I wanted to try something new. Therefore, we decided to try this place out because of the positive reviews we were reading online. However, after eating here, I have to admit that I feel that the positive reviews are only coming from people who are so excited about downtown Frederick that they forget to remove their rose-colored glasses to see this place for what it really is… and that is a mediocre brunch cafe’. First, I ordered a breakfast combo that included 2 scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes and sausage. The eggs were unsalted, the home fries were grocery store frozen potatoes and the pancakes were not anything to brag about. And second, the attitude that the owner gave my wife while she was trying to order made her feel so uncomfortable to the point where I had to finish her order for her. To further elaborate, my wife was rushed during her order when she was trying to decide on which bagel to get. The owner asked in an aggressive tone “are you still thinking of what bagel you want!” I understand that most who read this will be quick to accuse me of being a “ Karen,” and to that I say by all means try this place out for yourself. But, just keep this review in the back of your mind during your experience, and you decide for yourself. Just remember to remove your rose-colored glasses before stepping through the door, because I guarantee that even you can make a better version of breakfast at home when compared to this place.
Stopped by for great, rich, strong coffee and fabulous fresh sandwiches like grandma used to make. Fresh bread as well. We enjoyed the chicken salad and the tuna salad melt, yummy. Our son ordered the Logan sandwich which had super tender roast beef, barbecue sauce and melted cheese. Just great!
The workers were really rude. I ordered my coffee and after I was given the wrong one, I was lectured by one of the workers on why I didn’t know what I was talking about (so much for the customers always right). Again when I was leaving, he tried to tell me what the difference was between coffees and spoke to me like I was stupid. It was really embarrassing to do in front of the whole store and I will not be going back. The food was good, but to add on to what happened, I wasn’t even given a full cup of coffee (see attached). Overall, really disappointed considering I used to love coming here.
The food was good and the service was great. It’s located in downtown Frederick right by really cute shops and close to public parking. It’s not stroller friendly and has a step into the restaurant as well as several steps to the back where tables are. But the staff helped me lift the stroller in and didn’t make me feel bad at all for bringing it in.
They Have snickerdoodle coffe!!
We stopped in here on a cold and snowy day for drinks after a big breakfast. The place is local and casual, with a small-town diner feel. You order off a big-board menu at the counter. We ordered a vanilla latte and an espresso, which came out quickly in paper to-go cups, and we enjoyed them in a booth near the front. The vanilla latte was sweet and flavorful. The food menu included soups, sandwiches, and bagels - though we didn't try them. It seemed a like a pleasant place to start your day.
The staff is super nice and the food is even better. I recommend the chicken salad on egg everything bagal, but you really can't go wrong with anything here. Also super dog friendly, they leave bowls of water out front and bring treats to the pups!!
