Excellent foodExceptional crab soup and the crab cake sandwich was exquisite.
This was our first time at River Watch Restaurant. We sat outside, ate, drank and watched the band Expensive Hobby perform for 4 hours. Overall really enjoyed our experience at this venue and will likely return in the future for other events.
After being chewed out by the waitress for coming in the door by the parking lot. We were informed it would be at least 30 minutes to get a drink and food was taking 90 or better to come out. They had red dirt revolution playing which drew a hudge crowd and they were totally understaffed! We will have to try another time ...it looked like they have a great menu!
They need to do better with customers paying their tab at the end of the night. The bar was empty and we were waiting to pay our tab but the bar tender didn't come over. She just started cleaning up the bar. It makes it very easy for someone to walk out without paying their tab. Luckily for them, customers can't walk out because the bar tenders hold the credit cards behind the bar. Otherwise we would have.
Very disappointed in the service I received today. They are short staffed which is not the issue but the way that we were treated. When we tried to get a table the woman seating patrons said we couldn't sit down because it was a 2 hour wait and then turned around and seated others that came in after us. Her tone was unprofessional and obviously there was not a 2 hour wait. I was very upset by the unprofessionalism when all she had to say is we are short staffed and it may be a long wait. We would have understood and just left. It was uncalled for and ridiculous. This is not the first time I have gotten an attitude from this same person.
We had a good experience during our last visit. Staff were all friendly. The new chef has a great menu and the food was good, with the exception of the fried green tomato app. It came out looking anemic and was sadly under seasoned and pretty soggy. The shrimp tacos were messy and falling apart but were absolutely delicious.
3/18 wanted two and a half hours for 12 oysters, scallops, soup, crab dip and one crab cake meal. Never change menu without doing a reduced menu selection first. So staff can get it together. It's the beginning of the season plenty of time to step it up.
I was there to see awaken play. The ban was excellent. The tables were wobbly which in turn made drinks spill over on the floor, which made people angry cuz the floor was wet. A fight broke out because of the wet floor. I left to find my car had been sideswiped by a very large white truck parked crooked. The place itself is very beautiful I didn't care for the crowd.
Went with friends as this was one of the bars on the Boat Parade route. If you go for this event please arrive early. The Boat Parade is from 6-7 and the place was packed. We got seats at the outside bar which was enclosed and heated.Michelle, Scott and Stephanie were VERY busy but managed to be pleasant and the drinks were good. We ordered a number of appetizers and the were not stellar but completely acceptable. They had Santa Claus who was amazingly realistic and live music (Weird Science) started at 8 pm and we hung around for a set. All in all a really fun experience which we would do again.
We went for Thanksgiving. The food was fantastic. However the service was awful. They had plenty of waitstaff on and it wasn't super busy. The staff just seemed preoccupied, phones etc. Someone from our party actually had to go to the bar and ask if someone could take our order for a second round of drinks. If it wasn't for the service, I would have given 5 stars because the food was great and the location and restaurant itself were beautiful.
