I gave this location on Orville rd in Essex Md 5 stars due to Carmen. She was multi tasking and went beyond a manager should. She displayed great customer service and had a lot of patience. She was already short staff but she made sure the staff she had were doing their job. I really hope Denny recognize that they have a someone who takes pride in her job and made sure all the diners were happy. Great job Carmen and I wish you nothing but success.
This location had way better tasting Breakfast foods. For some reason the flavor of the food was better here than most other Dennys. They must have better cooks.The only ding was the TINYpiece of bacon.
Everytime I don't think this place could get any worse it does. And yes I know Dennys is a gamble we hadn't been for a while and took a chance. The front end was being ran by 2 kids that looked no older than 13 and had zero idea with what was going on and if our waitress was any more zooted she'd have been a space ship. Food was sub-par half the stuff we asked for the restaurant was out of which is not the wait staffs fault but we could have been told before we ordered. Waited far too long for a refill on my drink and there was no clean silverware we had to use plastic forks and knives.
Went in for lunch with my young child. Things were fine till the server brought out the table of 4s food who ordered after us. There was a mistake w/ one of thier plates & as she told them she would take care of it I spoke up & asked her to check on our food since we placed our order first. No we did not order anything difficult & as a cook myself it takes longer to prepare a larger tables meal than it does 2 people. The waitress came back about 5 mins later w/ our food. Never offered to refill my empty water glass, never came by to ask how everything was, never even apologised. Never got a tip too. Went to register to pay, no " how was everything", no thank you for coming, not even a fricken smile. And no it was not busy. Won't go there again.
While this place does have good and healthy food for a reasonable price, everything I usually get is rather small in size but average in quantity. It's also a good place to get an early breakfast in the morning. Although I do find it a little diminishing that the orange juice tastes watered down and I didn't get strawberries for my pancakes when I asked.
Super fabulous servers. Courteous didn’t get one of twenty people at our tables order wrong. Not even the kind of toast. Was there Johnny on the spot with the coffee pot. And asked us to be patient with her. There was no reason she was right there caring that we were served. Lauren a young lady at Essex Dennys on Eastern Blvd was above and beyond, she even cashed us out along with other patrons who were cashing out also. Extremely polite, friendly, and we had just met her this morning but we will be. Ack to see our friend Lauren. Her manager, who was very busy also but did take the time with us to hear us out. She said she knew Lauren could handle such a big party. And she did, and some. I’ve worked with the public most of my life and I know the other comments are the ones people tend to call in or remark about. But we were ALL so happy with the service I personally felt you would want to know. Thank you for the great folks you hire, and for still being there for US !!! Mary Anderson
I always love going to Denny's great food, great service the atmosphere is always pleasant. It's just some rude customers that ruin the day. Unfortunately. But it doesn't deter me from going back. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Food was good but only one person running the whole restaurant, had to wait awhile to checkout!
This Dennys gets worse each time I go in. Recently ordered Cobb salad with cold sitting around all day chicken. Service and food going straight down hill.
Honestly its a Denny's. The food is not at all something I would typically write home about. But at least I can honestly say that in the past year that I have been going to this particular Denny's, not a single server, host, or member of staff period, has ever been anything but pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. My wife and kids can agree that whatever they are doing to train their staff at the Eastern Blvd Denny's they should recreate it at others.
