I don't bother with any other Chinese restaurants in the Columbia/Ellicott City area unless I have a hankering for Thai drunken noodles, and then I go to Asian Palace. But Hunan Legend is constant, dependable and delicious. On my last lunch visit I had chicken and black bean sauce and was extremely happy with it. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
My wife ate there with a group she belongs to and said the food was very good. So on a whim, for date night, i decided to give it a try. The food was well prepared and delicious. Will go there again.

Terrible service. Rude management. Waited over an hour for my order (After it was due to be done) they finally told me they gave my order to someone else and would not expedite remaking it.
The worst food I have ever had. The sweet and sour chicken was just cut up dry breaded chicken. They do not even give you the chance to call and get a refund. Horrible.
Called in order of 1 one quart of brown rice... First off $5.77 for a quart of brown rice is highway robbery. Secondly, the cashier refused to let me pay with my credit card because they impose an $8 minimum credit card payment. He told me to either order more, or pay cash... Which I didn't have on me. Plus I didn't want anything else. They took the brown rice back and put it back in the steam pot. Just an fyi about this HIGHLY OVERPRICED place.

We were blown away by this restaurant over twenty years ago and would have given it a 10 out of 5 stars.? The food was great, the service was impeccable, and the owner was a doll. In the last five years, it has decreased.
