This was my first visit. The atmosphere was bright and inviting. The staff was friendly. The food was above diner expections. I had the corned beef sandwich. It was tender and tasty. I can't wait to go again.
Everyone who are writing that this place has amazing crab cakes have never tasted REALLY good crab cakes. These crab cakes were mediocre. The crab cakes served by the Prime Rib and Matthew's 1600 are infinitely better. The only thing good about these crab cakes is that they're giant but they're pretty plain and lacking in flavor. I consider myself a crab cake aficionado and I try to try a variety of different crab cakes at every restaurant that has them. This restaurant, EC Diner's crab cakes are far from "award winning".
I have been coming here since it was Double T Diner, I questioned their sanitation a couple times but now there is an obvious upgrade since they changed to EC Diner. Good portion size for their food, but my only complaint is that some of their servers don't seem to be that familiar with the menu. I mean it's a pretty big menu so I get it.
First time here and it lived up to the hype. Had MD Crab soup, one of the best I have sampled. Wife had French Onion and it was on point also!She got the crab cake and could not really see any filler, although she likes a little old bay so you may want to ask for that on the side. I got the traditional Gyro, which came with fries and small Greek salad. I prefer the meat a little thicker so it holds the heat better but it was yummy and the sauce was home made. There was also a Santa visiting tables which and making the all the little kids eyes light up. Very heart warming.

My, hands down, favourite breakfast joint around! EC Diner has that retro charm combined with lovely service and delicious food. There tends to be a wait on the weekends (but it is well worth it)As a dessert-for-breakfast person, I quite appreciate the fantastic assortment of pastries, cakes, and cookies at the front. Each one has been delicious so far. The pancakes are also delectable, not all just plain pancakes with various toppings. I highly recommend the sinful custard layered Oreo pancake!I know I will be returning here soon and hope that I can get to know the staff and owners well enough that they know me as that guy who eats cake at 7am.
