First time going and we will definitely be back. My son asked for ice cream for his birthday, so we decided to try out EC Diner. Such a great experience. Atmosphere, food, and speed of service were amazing. The milkshake was worth every penny.
Food was delicious. Customer service was great. First time dining here. Food portions were big. We were greeted upon entering and staff was very attentive throughout our meal.

Service was excellent food missed the mark. I tried the hot Cheetos burger. Basically they crushed Cheetos, piled the bun and stuck it toThe outside. The bun was soggy and the adhesive tasted bad. Not a bad concept just missed the mark in delivery.Also, any menu that says “World Famous or Famous” on a number of items…you better be ready to deliver the goods.
Prompt and accurate service. Chicken and rice soup had a massive amount of celery, and no rice or chicken. BEST crunchy chicken tenders I've had in Maryland. The roasted potatoes were underwhelming. Undercooked and huge. Menu doesn't mention gravy on the hamburger steak. It was a bit of a shock. Santos is friendly and attentive. Amazing service. Food needs a little work. Will revisit.
This is definitely the best diner I’ve ever been to in the DMV. Me and a bunch of my friends tried it for the first time on New Year’s and we LOVED IT! We sat in a heated tent outside and there was live music. We had a great time eating, fellowshipping and dancing. I had the brownie shake and it was the BIGGEST milkshake I’ve ever had. I also had a veggie omelet with home fries and turkey bacon and that was yummy too. I’ll definitely be back for another milkshake and more delicious food!
EC Diner owners and staff will go out of their way for you! We have been going here since they opened and have never had a bad meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner! One of the owners Spiro is the nicest, most helpful person there. He is very accommodating and will bend over backwards to help you out! The food is excellent! Service is excellent and you won't be unhappy at all!
It took 25 minutes to get acknowledged by the waiter who had passed by several times up until that point. We had to wait over 40 minutes to get bread and another 10 minutes for the food (50 minutes total). The food was 'so-so'. We never got offered any refills of our drinks. This is the second time we have received this type service there (African American female and son)... No thanks. No more tries. Have a great day.
My Niece took me to the EC Diner what a great choice she has heard great things about the crab cakes we both had the crab cake sandwich. This was a typical diner atmosphere crowded hustle and bustle short wait time less than 10 minutes after being seated put drtver came over within another 10 minutes. I ordered the French Onion Soup as a starter and my niece ordered a regular salad she was very satisfied and it was a good portion. My french onion soup looked great however there were no onions and the broth was bland. The counter waitress Kim came over in the interim and I told her she immediately came back with a cup of the sauteed onions she was awesome very pleasant. Our waiter was nice too. The crab cakes were huge and delicious very little filler..I saw many huge elaborate Sundaes go by they were amazing but I had no room. The desserts looked delicious and the dessert case was unbelievable. Before our waiter came a manager stopped by to ask if we had been helped yet. That was nice. I saw other people's breakfast platters they looked good. The prices were good the food was delicious
What a great time we had. Our server Dorothy was such a pleasure to meet made the whole meal that much better. Yes and the food was great. Chicken pot ?!!! Crab Eggrolls delightful. Oh and don't forget to close it out with one of those amazing shakes.
