good service and half way Decent food.
Great staff and a huge variety of different food and all kept hot. definitely will be back!!!
The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting and the staff are friendly. The food falls short unfortunately. Not as many selections as other locations but that's to my personal tastes but items weren't being refilled as they should in a timely matter. The meatloaf only had but a few pieces left and they looked like they had been sitting out for quite awhile so that begs the question why it wasn't replaced sooner and the same could about the fried and roasted chicken. The pulled pork was a little too sweet but not too bad.
It's more of a truck drivers rest area. Grown women and men who drive semis come in to enjoy a almost home cooked meal. The sanitation was way off. Some how, they need to implement a better way for diners to enjoy the food but still practice social distancing. Each food item has a handle which are constantly being used by hundreds. Blue disposable gloves are provided, but very few use them. So in total, I ended up using 1 pack of anti bacterial wipes. Food was ok.
I've been here multiple times and it is ALWAYS pleasant.1- The hostess was absolutely delightful and kind!2- Management is ALWAYS on top of things. During my time there, management swept and picked up trash from the ground and surrounding areas countless times, and made sure things were stocked.3- Our server was pleasant. She had a good eye for our drinks, which is a HUGE deal for my wife in particular.4- FINALLY, the food was delicious. Simple as that.Everything was hot and FRESH.A special shout out to Zach, the manager, and Terri!Thank you, Golden Corral Team of Elkton!
Golden Corral Elkton Maryland. 2nd time to a Golden Corral (1st time near Aberdeen Maryland). I am amazed how good the food is. The amount of meat on the ribs was extraordinary...the sauce was fantastic. Really liked the shrimp in some kind of sweet sauce. The deserts were high quality. The cashier was cheerful...she had a lot of customers to deal with. The young man who brought my drinks and silverware was cordial. Great value! Great price! -Jeff 4/1/22
If depression had a flavor, the Golden Corral seasons with it liberally. It may have been the location, but the food was mediocre, and the ambiance was post-apocalyptic.Nothing was clean, and I am pretty sure half of the people in there were looking for the brains steam tray. I would not recommend it unless you are a fan of unironic misery.
So yea that’s a NO, looks nice enough and we figured with it being at a truck stop there would be a nice rotation of fresh hot foods. Not true, chicken cold, bacon cold, sausage cold pork cold. Waitress was ignorant after the register person put us in for 2 coffees instead of one coffee and a coke. I didn’t realize it and although she brought the coke made sure we knew she wasn’t happy about it. I offered to fix it at the register and she ignored me twice! After one bite of a few things we just left. Not worth it and went to get breakfastSorry that those who drive trucks for a living have this kind of subpar food and service. Go to the one in Aberdeen it’s way better!
Went for breakfast n wanted lunch however breakfast was the option. I guess because they were changing over to lunch in 30 minutes they were not trying to put new food out. There was a few pieces of sausage dried up of course. The has one scoop of eggs left. They had nothing fresh or hot. The waitstaff was not pleasant at all. I guarantee I will not go back
Couldn’t give this restaurant a 0 so it gets a 1 but not deserved. The hostess was the only nice thing in this restaurant. Our server was horrible and had NO customer service. She never removed the eaten from plates from our table only swept the floor by us with a broom and dustpan as we ate our dinner. No communication only when we asked for drink refill. The food bars were horrible and nasty. My ribs were cold and tuff and chicken breast I couldn’t cut with my Golden Corral knife. I ONLY ATE vegetables for a whopping $36 plus my Husband’s meal. Really need to work on the servers attitude. Blame it on closing time. But had we been told it was nearing there closing time we would’ve chose a different restaurant. Horrible experience. Only one nice gentleman asked if we were finished with the hot buffets that’s when we noticed it was closing time. Which soon someone starts to pull desserts so we were out of eating desserts. We decided to just end our meal and leave.
