Excellent food and service, can’t wait to go back
The best food ever. Great atmosphere and employ are great. Only bad thing I have to say is that they were out of fried green tomatoes..
This was our 2nd visit. Definitely won't be the last! Each visit we were blessed with Carol as our Bartender/Sever. She is amazing! She made us feel welcome the minute we sat down. Thank you Carol for just being you ?? The food was just as great as the service we were given! So glad we found this Gem!
My girlfriends and I had such a wonderful lunch at Baker's. I haven't been in many years, and remembered it being good then, and it still holds true. Our waitress (Jeanne) was awesome and super friendly. The atmosphere was cozy and the interior was really nice. We had a tough time deciding on what to order, great variety of options. I ordered the Alabama Slamma which came with fries and a pickle, I added a side of coleslaw. Oh. My. Lanta. It was delicious! The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful, the fries were fresh and tasty, and the coleslaw was amazing, like good old fashioned grandma kind. My one friend ordered the hot turkey sandwich with the homemade mashed potatoes. It looked amazing, and she enjoyed every bite. My other friend ordered the southwest chicken sandwich minus the bun and she also enjoyed hers. I had to end my lunch with a piece of cheese cake.. it was yummy. We already made plans to meet again here for another lunch date. The great food, prices and service is too good not to return.
Definitely not what we expected. It's basically a dressed up cafeteria. The food is cafeteria quality but at restaurant prices. The drinks were good but I could've made better food in my microwave. I had the chicken fried steak and it reminded me of elementary school. So that was nice. I would only go here again to drink.
As a child, my parents took me to Baker's for special meals. It is still a great place. They loved the Chicken and Dumplings. Aside from Daily Specials, don't forget the Early Birds. I enjoy Turkey Breast, cornbread dressing, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, and a roll. Iced tea is fresh brewed. I have never had a bad meal here. For many this is a stop on the drive to Massey, Chestertown, Ridgely, Fenwick, or Ocean City. Photo is the aftermath of a delicious Turkey Breast supper.
We tried the chicken and dumplings special, and they were absolutely the worst we've ever had. No flavor what so ever. Usually my husband will eat almost anything and always tells me I'm picky, but he even refused to ever try their food again. Maybe there's better things on the menu or it was a bad batch of dumplings ?♀️
I had a crab pretzel, and was very disappointed couldn't eat most of it. The Friday before her, I did have breaded shrimp mac and cheese with stewed tomatoes that was pretty good. Not real thrilled with the entertainment but barmaids extremely friendly
Great food at a great price. My waitress was a beautiful person as well. Patient, kind and not self serving. Serving others...sounds like someone else I know!!? Eat here. Can't wait to go back.
Great food, good menu options, and great, fast, friendly service. Great dessert options. The only food disappointment was the dinner rolls. They were dry, crumbly, and tasteless. I had to send them back. Darn good food but be prepared for sticker shock.
