Very disappointed. On my way home from work my girlfriend asked me to pick up her regular order of a sushi combo from Asian Garden in Elkton. (I personally don’t order from Asian Garden since it’s not my preference). The total came out to $28.29 for a Roll Combo 1. I didn’t think anything of it since I don’t personally order from here. I showed up home and my girlfriend noticed the receipt. She said that Asian Garden charged me $10 more then they should of. The price should of came out to $18.95 and she then went on their website and showed me the price that Asian Garden advertised the Roll combo 1.I called Asian Garden in Elkton to point out the mistake. The employee went to grab her manager since this is above her head. I explained the issue to the manager. She went on and explained prices went up due to increased of food supply. I told her that’s fine and I understand but before ordering the employee didn’t mentioned that to me and the website still reflected the old price. I asked if they can accommodate me a refund the difference of price or give me credit for the next order since my girlfriend orders from here all the time. She said the only thing she can offer me is 10% off for the next order. That’s only a $2.90 savings and it didn’t make any sense to me. Since the “Manager” couldn’t help me I asked who was her boss. She replied saying that she is the boss. I repeated the question and said who does she report to? The manager replied the owner. I asked for the owner information. She said that she will have the owner reach out to me instead. I was ok with that and now waiting to see if the owner from Asian Garden will reach out to meFrom the time I spoke to the “Manager” the tone on her voice was defensive and somewhat argumentative. She could have held herself to a better standard and be a better representative of Asian Garden.I’m aware it’s only $10 and it’s not going to kill me or break me BUT i do work hard for my money and it’s the principle! You can’t advertise one price and say a different price. If you need to increase your price I FULLY UNDERSTAND but you also need to update your in- store menu & website menu. Thats deceiving to YOUR customers. That’s like going to Home Depot and grab a tool off the shelves displaying one price and while ringing up at the register it charges me a higher price regardless if it’s a $1 to $500 price difference . The shelves need to show the new reflection of the price. I will keep this updated to see how Asian Garden handles this.
We were seated quickly and the food was served promptly. Server was pleasant. Wonton soup was better than most. Honey chicken, rice etc. was served just above room temperature. That kind of killed what was otherwise a pleasant experience. Not one to complain to staff as I did not want to start over. I ate about a quarter of what was a rather large portion... No doogy bag. Prices higher than most.
I was order #37 the evening of 4/27. Part of my order was the Thai Spring Rolls. At $5.50 this was a rip off. For two tiny rolls the size of mozzarella sticks. There was no cilantro, no coconut shavings, a smidge what I believe was the avocado, and then one baby shrimp, and mostly dough wrapper. I would be furious if I got this in a restaurant at that cost, but because it was delivery there is nothing I could do. First employee I spoke with sympathized with me how most of the food comes in frozen in bags and then marked up. Appreciated that honestly. Manager then defended the higher price as it contains more premium ingredients. Where? Not in mine. Also, when you advertise a meal coming with Jasmine rice, I expect Jasmine rice, this is not Jasmine rice; it's the same rice as every other Chinese restaurant and you know it. Finally, smaller dumplings at $2 more than other places. This is not premium food, it doesn't warrant premium costs. I can't believe it cost me $40 (plus $10 in delivery fees with tip) for a wonton soup, 6 dumplings, (non-Jasmine) rice, general Tsos chicken, and two little dough roll ups, not even going to call them Spring Rolls as that's insulting to actual Spring Rolls. I am so, so disappointed when all I wanted was some decent Asian food. Oh and when I tried to issue this complaint privately via your webpage, it kept failing to submit.
My husband and I went for our first time since moving to Maryland. We were promptly greeted when we walked in the door. It was a very nice atmosphere. We ordered the Rock Shrimp to share. My husband ordered the Singapore Mai Fun which he thought was too salty for his taste. I ordered the Shrimp and Broccoli with Fried Rice. Eli was a great server. He gave us an honest helpful suggestion for my husband since he took the original meal off. My husband then ordered the Thai Fried Rice which he liked. We will definitely be going back.
Good! Really pretty location and really good food! We had the steamed dumplings, pork eggroll, spring rolls, tempura veggies, sweet and sour chicken, and red beef curry. All of the appetizers were above what you could expect at a Chinese food restaurant. Sweet and sour chicken was really really good! Whole big fat breast meat pieces that were not dried out and not super oily, but lightly fried and crispy! Red curry beef was a little fishy...but anyone that cooks with fish sauce knows that an extra one or two drops matters! As for the service...I think it could have been a little better...but we went in an hour or so before closing and all of the young people working were probably a little excited to get their FriYAY on. Overall, a win!
Decor is beautiful, but thats it! Cloth napkin was dirty.Orange chicken was dry and tough with a few pieces of frozen broccoli. Vegetables in the Pad Thai were so few and far between that I sent it back. The second try wasn't much better. Needed more FRESH Vegetables, not frozen. Need more vegetables and more variety. Portions were adequate but I didn't want lots of starch with just a few frozen vegetables.Music is too loud and inappropriate-- hip hop isn't good background music in any restaurant, especially Asian. How about less volume and more soothing oriental sounds?
Great restaurant! The food was amazing and service was good. I recommend the sesame chicken, fried rice, and crab cheese wontons!!
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Took 1.5 hours and two phone calls to get my food. It was barely warm but who wants to send it back and wait for it to be delivered. The manager never even apologized but to be fair she is probably in high school. Never again!
This is by far my favorite sushi place ever. I love their roll combos it’s super practical and is a solid amount of food for a great price. The wonton is amazing and has a rich flavor. Highly recommend getting the crunchy tuna roll you will not be disappointed.
