Unfortunately, I have no photos but this place was fantastic. I ended up getting their risotto special that came with a really great crab cake.
Good lord what has happened to my favorite restaurant in Easton? First, the Resturant was so loud and you could not have a conversation at the dinner table without raising your voice. The service, without a doubt was atrocious. Staff walked by the table, never cleared plates, and forgot to bring silverware ? when they finally bussed the tables. The bread basket they tossed on the table was stale. The entree I had (veal) was so dry It was hard to chew (this was the same comment from others in the group that had the veal). The only reason for two stars is for some of the seasoned staff we have known for a long time. Even though we were not in their section, they came over to check on us. Unless Scossa starts hiring staff that wants to be there and understands that a restaurant is a service business, and the chef brings his A game, I’m afraid it may not last. It’s such a shame since we loved this place.
Just fabulous! First off, they were kind enough to work in a late reservation for 9 on a Friday night for our out-of-town group. It was super busy but our waiter (and team) did not miss a beat. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and came out quickly. Appetizers were great! Then the main courses came out in a short time as well.We were celebrating a birthday so they lit the candles on our cake, sliced and plated it.I couldn't have been happier from beginning to end! Thanks Scossa team! How lucky Easton is.
This was the third time we have dined at Socossa. We just love it. They have the best calamari and the serving sizes are just right. I always think I need salt and pepper but not there.
Risotto was very bland- as if water were used instead of homemade broth or stock. It was much better last year. Booth seating request made at time of reservation was not honored
We had a wonderful meal with perfect service!
Decor belies the average preparation, under seasoned and plainly plated entrees masquerading as fine dining. Charcuterie sampler was the exception.
Anniversary
Entertained friends from NYC at Scossa last night and they raved that the food was better than the upscale Italian restaurants they frequent in the city.
Very good. Chicken was a bit dry, but tasty.
