Fourteen of us celebrated Fathers Day and four family birthdays here yesterday. We had a wonderful time! Our group ranged from 2 yrs to 78 and each of us loved the food and also how attentive everyone was. They even provided an old favorite dessert we requested that was now off the menu. This has become our go to restaurant for all our special occasions.
We went for our 6th wedding anniversary. My husband made sure a note was taken. We did run 7 min behind but the matra'd said no problem. When we came in, no one was at the entrance desk. Once arrived he took us into a large space of tables with us being the only ones for about 20 min. It took several minutes before a waitress arrived. She was pleasant enough and took our drink order(water). She left and one other couple was seated. They were very vocal not being able to sit in the porch area. They proceeded to complain throughout the dining. 2 more parties were seated. Our order was finally taken. All other tables, especially the complainers were attended to before us. Thank goodness for the young man that kept filling our water glasses. The food was taking several minutes. We had finished our bread basket. The maitr'd even stopped by and said food was coming and even brought our food. We learned there was a wedding upstairs an a shower for bride and ceremony outside. Only 2 waitresses in a full room by now. We had to ask for a dessert menu and decided no. We had to ask for boxes to take the food. I mentioned to the waitress it was our anniversary and she had no idea. She was kind enough with her startled look to say she hoped it was good. When we left no one said goodbye, as when we entered no one at the front door. No mints, "come again". Thank goodness the beef tips and salmon were good. We expected much more. Disappointing.Darryl and Cathy R.
Everything our group of five ordered was delicious and generous. Service was spot on!Not noisy like lots of restaurants. We could actually hear without yelling!
The price may seem high, but the quality of the food is top notch and totally worth the price. Best dinner I've had in years!
The food was good. We were there most recently for Easter. Tell the “cool guy” that brought out our food to pull his pants up or just buy a belt and take the toothpick out of his mouth.
Wonderful ambiance for a special occasion/event. We enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner NY Strip Steak & Salmon. Exquisite wine list. I would have given them 5 stars; however, bread basket is NOT complimentary. They charge $6 for bread basket (4) rustico rolls.
I love this restaurant. The food is awesome and varied. I would normally have rated 5 stars. But, the service was unusually lacking on this last visit. My friend and me had to request some items (condiments, water) several times. This was, however, not the norm at this restaurant.
Excellent fine dining. The steak I had was cooked to perfection and the scallops my wife ate were amazing. I was told this place would be very expensive but I did not find it to be that bad. It's not cheap, but I felt that the food we ordered was worth the price. The service here was also excellent. I felt very attended to and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Dec 2021: I'd go back, but I was a bit disappointed with some of the food for the price we were paying. We had a group of ten and appreciated the first private room inside to the right. We had one of each appetizer. The shrimp scampi smelled a little questionable, but the others were loved. My gumbo (pic) was blah. Flavors all blended, so it all tasted about the same, tho I did appreciate the chopped green onions on top. But that's saying something isn't it? That the most memorable part of the flavor was the green onions. My vegetarian wife's baked ziti (pic) was also a bit bland. She didn't even take the leftovers home.Everyone roundly loved the desserts. I have a pic of the Key Lime Pie and the Chocolate Mousse Tiramisu. There were two strange interactions with the maître d'. First, after making the reservation weeks earlier, he called my wife back and said she was supposed to get back to him. She believed the reservation was set, yet he curtly informed her that "she forgot." Well even if a misunderstanding occurred, that is just RUDE.He also said "the dinner hour in Howard County is 6pm." And I've heard this of him from a friend in the past. Wow, nobody wants to hear pretentious BS like that.Second, when desserts were wrapping up someone remotely upped the music to an extreme volume. It was so loud I had to quickly find the smart speaker myself and turn it down. When I asked the maitre d' about this annoyance, he lied to me and said the device cannot be controlled remotely. Umm, it's a smart speaker. That's how they work.I'm taking a star off simply due to these strange interactions with the maitre d'.
Top shelf! Food is delicious ?, service excellent, staff is very accommodating. Intend to celebrate my wife's birthday there with guests.
