Excellent!Enjoyed a shrimp tempura dinner at Sono recently. Literally everything was perfect. Tempura was light and flavourful. Miso soup was very tasty as was the steamed rice.I checked out what the other guests were having and everything looked great. Service was very friendly and attentive.Overall 5*. Thanks for a great meal.
Phenomenal, very fast service, extremely help staff, and a very expansive selecting of sake and Asian beer. I ordered a roll and some fermented vegetables. I would eat those vegetables for every meal if I could. They. Were. Delectable.The sushi roll I ordered came out perfectly as well.Such a great choice for sushi, and I would love to make my way back here again.
Sticky tables and slow service. Their sushi is fresh and tasty but dine-in experience is lacking. Don’t try anything besides the sushi as it is pretty terrible. On the other hand, take-out is well done and I prefer that method now.
$$$ Fresh Fish for sure but it comes with a cost, overall must try not your typical flavor rolls and sauces. Sashimi was clean and perfectly textured.Very clean tastes, awesome umami mix for spicy tuna in sono12, uni from Japan need to find out the day of delivery so I can make the trip back was Ok when I tried it but couldn't get the true flavors, but as a uni lover you should know it's always a hit or miss event.
I am sad to write this review, but this restaurant has declined so much that I feel people ought to know. Gone are the days when the food was excellent, and the service was friendly! We arrived at about 2:45--ready to order a quick bite before the restaurant closed at 3:00. (If they want to close at 2:30, that is what the sign should say!) The staff shouted at us telling us we were too late. After some discussion, they agreed to serve us. The food arrived. Dry, mediocre, and disappointing. Nobody asked if we'd enjoyed the snack. We were out of the door by 3:00--eager to get away from the surly attitude. What a shame! This place used to be very nice indeed!
I had Lunch here during the week.. the place was not too crowded, which was nice since the dining area didn't appear to be to big. There was a nice view of the lake that added to the peaceful atmosphere. My food and drink came out pretty quick. I liked the options of normal and low sodium sot sauce. The food was good...nothing extremely impressive, but good. Customer base was refreshingly diverse during my time there. I'd go again. Would have like the option for outside dining though.
The sushi at sushi sono is great. It’s very fresh, well prepared and plated beautifully. The service is prompt and attentive - and the restaurant is attractive and clean.
We've visited several times and we've always loved it. I love their rice especially, it really makes their sushi a cut above what we normally get and you can't ever miss how delightful their raw sushis are.I miss the old menu which included Sukiyaki which is a favorite of ours and the traditional ambiance they used to keep but otherwise everyone is just as polite and prompt as ever.Highly recommended.
The view of the lake is very nice. The sushi is ok. The staff is very rude. I do not think they appreciate the business.
