I am a lover of all Asian food, and I must say this is the absolute best sushi I have ever had in my entire life. It doesn’t look like much on the outside; we almost left because it looked like a basic strip mall restaurant. But it didn’t take long to realize that this place is unlike any sushi place I’ve ever been. The service was sublime, the appetizer was phenomenal, they are all so nice, and the FOOD!! Omg. I will be back, and back, and back…

People are more than nice, the food is incredible and the ambiance is enjoyable. The service is amazing and the owners are kind are welcoming. 100/10

New items on the menu are fantastic. Not traditional sushi or rolls. Fusion cooking for the masses. Family owned restaurants.

An absolutely incredible little gem! Food and service both well above what I'd have been happy with. Cannot recommend enough and will be back very soon!

I regret ever eating in this restaurant. The sushi was average and I do see why other people rave about this restaurant. I had better cooked Japanese food and sushi/rolls in Federal Hill Baltimore and of course New York City. The portions were small and not worth it. I should had walked out of the restaurant when I saw how small the rolls were on other people's table when I walked in. The quality of the fish was meh and the salad was horrible. I spent two years in Japan and lived in New York City and this has raised the bar for Japanese food for me. I guess this is a good Japanese restaurant for people who do not know any better. The service was good, but I will never come back again.

We'd been craving sushi ever since a favorite restaurant in DC recently stopped serving it. How great to find such a wonderful source just five minutes from home. Although reservations are wise during busy hours, we were lucky walk-in patrons around 6 p.m. on Friday night. While not yet packed, it was obvious that Sushi King would have a good night. As 1st-time visitors, we were impressed with the variety of dishes available. We chose: Shumai (shrimp dumping with sauce), Salmon Roll, and several nigiri offerings (Salmon Belly, Eel, White Fish, and Tuna). All were excellent. It was also fun to see what others ordered in preparation for our next visit (although, we are most likely to choose the shabu shabu that we fondly remember from a trip to Japan). I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

This place is absolutely fantastic! I haven’t been here in years, but tonight was just as excellent as I remember from years ago! The service is unmatched. Our friend was joining us, so we ordered for him so when he got here the food would come soon or at the same time. His miso soup of course came quickly, so the waitress offered to replace his soup when he got there so it would be warm for him. So nice and thoughtful! The manager and owner stopped by to check how everything was, and offered our friend a chair to prop up his leg because he is on crutches. Again, the service is amazing! The food is beyond delicious. Seriously can not rave enough about how great the food is just as much as the service. Greatest sushi spot in the DMV!

I stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant. The owner and the staff were absolutely wonderful! They were attentive, friendly, gave a cozy/family-style feel, and best of all…. The sushi was delicciiooooouuussssss ???!!! They served Eccentric and unique rolls, I was not sure what to pick but I ended up with “he said, she said” and “warm to the soul” roll. The flavors hit every taste bud and they were dynamic with texture. I will be coming back ????✨

Second time visiting this place! I recommend calling in advance during weekends (because it’s super busy) first time went on a Wednesday night. I’m giving 5 stars because their rolls are amazing! “Warm to the Soul” and “Spicy Grilled Roll” being our top rolls so far ? The vibe is really nice, with that very Japanese traditional tea house ambiance. Please be very mindful that weekends are busy and some rolls might take a little bit more than others, but the wait it’s rewarded! ??My only suggestion is that you guys have to turn the heaters because last time the A/C was blasting in our faces lol while we were at 35F.

Some of the most delicious sushi I've had!I got the Double 6 and Holiday roll and tuna sushi. They were all really good. Nice combinations of items on the rolls, and the fish for the tuna sushi was really tender and delicious. They also have an impressive menu size. Definitely going back!
