We had diner at the Stanford Grill in Columbia, MD one Sunday, early evening. Although we switched tables due to originally requesting seating outside and then changing our mind and moving inside, our server, Alex, was very accommodating. My father ordered the prime rib and my mother had the filet. Both said the steaks were wonderful. I had the fish and that was yummy too. We all had dessert - one key lime pie, one bread pudding, and one brownie ice cream sandwich - and coffee, which was served from a french press. All three desserts were delicious but much too big. We ended up taking the rest home. We loved the food and will be back.
Great experience. I love it here.
The food and drinks are always good at Standford Grill. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
We celebrate our wedding anniversary here each year and love the foodâ¦however this year we felted rushed and out waited kept forgetting these we requested. It just wasnât the experience we have come to love.
In MD from PA to see comedian at the Merriweather Pavilion. Our big meal before the show. Appetizers of spinach/artichoke dip (SO good) and Iron Skillet Cornbread (one bite and it had jalapeí±os inside-not stated on the menu) so too spicy for me. Husband liked it. Dinner of filet and prime rib. Cooked to perfection. The green beans were just steamed (nothing special) but the sautéed spinach was delicious-bacon-like flavor to them. The mashed potatoes had so much black pepper in them they were inedible. Desserts of the Bread Pudding and Chocolate Rising (ice cream sandwich cake) were delicious!
Another Family Dinner at Stanford Grill! Keep up the good work!
Everything was perfect. Always is. Egg rolls are off the chain delicious. Prime rib melts in your mouth. Best pot pie on the market. My absolute favorite restaurant.
Delightful setting and amazing food and service! Food is a little on the pricier side but worth it!
We wanted a nice date-night dinner and this hit the spot. Michael, our server, was spot on w drinks and food delivery. Very personable, not stiff. Martinis at the table and bar were delicious. Food was cooked well (steak and salmon entrees) and they accommodated my request to switch sides. They had a great 3-person ensemble playing. We were seated closer to the entrance, so closer to the music, and it was a bit loud, but it had to carry throughout the restaurant, so no big deal. We enjoyed it. Overall, it was a great evening out.
Stanford is often a go-to in Columbia when you want pretty good food in a nice atmosphere. To me, itâs really kind of OK. Not bad, but not really good. It is generally consistent ⦠Iâve had several subpar experiences which why I seldom pick them, but my wife still likes to go there. There are several really good restaurants near the mall and on Rt 108 (Ellicott City and Clarksville) that I would recommend over Stanford.
