Wasn’t a major fan of my chai latte, but the croissant & spinach and feta cheese croissant were delicious! I also enjoyed sitting off to the side near the books. It’s a great place to study or get some work done.
Started out really good as so many new restaurants do.I was excited to have a European style cafe/bakery in Columbia. In the beginning the owners advertised fresh bread and that the rye flour was from Austria. My German friend spoke to the owners in German so we were both very pleased to have a real bakery in town.A favorite was a small, round, dark brown bread.Delicious and a beautiful loaf.It was well worth the $7.00They are no longer selling bread, I was told.Service is hit or miss.“The art of rye” is no longer a fitting moniker now that bread is no longer baked in the shop.Old World techniques, really?I ‘m so tired of gimmicky restaurants. Please go back to the way you were in the beginning and please make quality a top priority.Hire great people, train them and pay them well.
I’m not usual one to post reviews but I had to once I came here! The food is outstanding! The mushroom and leek quiche is the best quiche I’ve ever had, the croissants are to die for, the sausage egg &cheddar didn’t even make it home and the customer service is wonderful. I will absolutely be back in the future!
The coffee is good, loved the dark chocolate Raspberry cafe mocha latte, had one today with cherry that was good. I really liked the One of a Kind Roast Beef, very rich and filling. Always busy when I've gone, always for carryout but pretty fast and good service.
No one knows the answers. I ask for simple syrup or cane sugar. The girl said “WE HAVE SPLENDA OVER THEIR. “. When I explained that I didn’t want artificial she left me standing their for 5 minutes and when I asked again she she said”WE DON’T HAVE SIMPLE SYRUP”. This a coffee house in 21st century ?? Go to Starbucks, Mad City Coffee anywhere else all have cane sugar
Fantastic chic spot with rustic vibes and amazing bread, sandwiches, pretzels and pastries. Extensive coffee menu as well. Workers were welcoming and food was awesome. I had the Mediterranean chicken melt and wife had the veggie powerhouse.
First visit was pretty good, picked up several orders for coworkers. Their Chicken Pot Pie was excellent. We ordered six, so they made them all from scratch. Took extra time, but they were the best in town.I also had their beet salad (pic) which was decent. Not filling.Friend had the Chicken Caesar salad (pic) and they liked it.Another guy had one of their quiches (pic) and they liked it too.
I love this tasty gem! I always get their super soft pretzels with a side of mustard. One of my favorite items to get are the ham and cheese croissants which taste divine when warmed up. I tried their speciality coffee drinks before and it was made to perfection.
I'm at a loss of words! I was totally impressed with this Bistro. Its foods, espresso selection, atmosphere and customer service almost seems over the top, but it's just a standard for them.If you haven't had a delicious handmade sandwich, pot-pie, quiche, coffee or pastry lately...this the place to go to revisit that taste-bud refresh! Plus they support Veterans and Military members! See you there!
Roggenart is hands down the best cafe/brunch spot in the greater Columbia area and quite possibly all of Maryland. Their bacon egg & cheese croissant is to die for. The bacon is cooked to perfection and the sandwich is served at the perfect temperature. Their pastry selection is spectacular. There are so many to choose from. My favorite is their cherry chocolate danish. The coffee menu is extensive and delicious.Their customer service is wonderful and the employees work very fast. I eat here nearly every week and bring my friends as often as I can. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a scrumptious brunch.
