Best Chinese food I’ve ever had, and I’ve probably been to 10+ places in Maryland. We go here for the fried rice, kung pow chicken, general tso’s. It’s all good. Repeated customer for years.
The server was super rude. Firstly, while ordering, we first asked for fried rice and then switched to noodles. They brought both, and when we protested, they bluntly ignored us and said that was what we ordered. Secondly, the Chinese broccoli was super hard that we needed to politely ask for scissors to cut for the leaves. They said "if you want it, you have to bring it your own". Why on earth do we have to bring scissors to a restaurant? Thirdly, while we still had tons of food on the table and obviously were still eating, the server kept approaching to ask if they could clear our plates. We obviously felt pressured sitting in the restaurant. Overall, the food is ok, but the service destroyed our experience.
Great Food!! Excellent Service
Food is really tasty and they have a broad menu. Only complaint I ordered a dish mild spicy and they didn’t pay any attention to it. Dish was covered in red chili oil. Really a shame it was too hot to eat because it had great flavor. Otherwise I would give it another star.
You ever eat at a place that you can just tell isn’t going to make it? That’s Hunan Manor. Years ago, it was one of my favorite places, but post-COVID, ouch, I’m afraid no new (positive) memories are being made here. The interior hasn’t been updated in years; the fountain is in disrepair and the ceiling tiles no longer match. But your going there for the food too, not just the ambiance. Let’s start with the positives: the dumplings are acceptable, not the best, but fine. That’s where the positives end. As for the cashew chicken, worst entree I’ve ever tasted. Bar none. I mean just awful. So bad, you should try it just to experience how a classic Chinese dish can be done so wrong. We will miss you Hunan Manor. But we had the 2000’s together; those were the days.
The food is very good and employees are very nice. The golden walnut shrimp is the best dish in my opinion. The bathrooms could use some extra cleaning though.
I've been ordering food once a month and everytime, my food is hot, fresh and tasty. It's some of the best in our area. Try crispy Hunan fish.
Stopped in for takeout. Staff was pleasant, helpful and efficient. Really enjoyed the curry shrimp. I will happily return for dine in, I look forward to trying more of the menu!
Pepper steak was good not enough steak. Combination Lo Mein was ok not enough shrimp or beef. Too much pork. Overall service was good. Food was hot even when arrived home. Prices was good. Will return but will not buy Lo Mein again. Wish they sold egg foo young but more of an upscale Chinese restaurant.
Great food and good size portions for price. I went and ordered at the restaurant and did carry-out. A nice surprise was to see tea bags along with the soy sauce and fortune cookies.
