No buffet after the pandemic. July 2022 just called & they said no buffet planned. In the past though, this was a great spot to go, especially for their chicken tiki masala which was made with dark meat chicken instead of white meat, excellent choice. However, it's not the biggest place in Columbia and you can find pretty good alternatives and there's even a buffet open near McGaw road.

The food was so so, however, I came to the restaurant because I had a Groupon. When I mentioned this to my server he stated they were no longer accepting Groupon's. All I can say is what a SCAM. I will not be going back to this restaurant. Groupon told me the merchant would have to honor the Groupon

Their food is absolutely delicious and customer service is great too. Went there for the first time during winter for a date night. Our food took extremely long and we had reservations for a comedy show after dinner. We let the waiter know. He was apologetic and comped our food for the inconvenience. I really appreciated the gesture and I have had nothing but great food and friendly service there since.I absolutely love their flavors! If you haven’t tried this restaurant, you definitely should! A+

I recently ordered from this place, butter chicken with medium spice. The food was horrible I couldn't even finish it. It had a funky smell and taste. The chicken didn't have a chicken-like texture and was cut into weird strips. I honestly had to throw the food away. I feel like it would have made me sick, as others have also noted in the comments happened to them. I don't plan to return and would caution anyone else ordering from here.

This is one of the best Indian places in the area, and maybe one of the longest lasting? It's been around since I was a kid. The servers and staff are incredibly kind and very attentive, and absolutely everything on the menu is delicious! We got the tandoori appetizers, and I got the Mattar Paneer, and others got the shrimp curry and korma.. It's all wonderful. Their masala chai with milk is so delicious! And mango lassi.. And the kulfa ice creams! We had such a relaxing night there. Thank you, House of India!

The House of India's curb side appeal and initial glance isn't a ten, but while we are talking about visual cues the inside is dated, clean and functional; the bathrooms are clean and smell fine. The food is very good, authentic and tastes very fresh. The service was very good, and we accidentally went there near closing time, the staff didn't care at all and were very friendly. Based on these factors and the price I would give a solid A. Will go back soon.

We had the vegetable korma and mushroom masala, garlic naan, and veggie samosa. Everything was good. Excellent, attentive service. Would eat here again.

I sought takeout from this place and I learned from their website that they have their own app on iOS and Android. Just go to your app store and search for House of India. Check the screenshots in the app store and you will see their address to verify you have the right app.I ordered through their app but it does not have an option to pay through the app. I got a call from the House of India 2-3 minutes after placing the order to confirm the pickup time. They told me it would be ready in 25 minutes. The order was waiting for me at the pickup table as soon as I walked in. The waitstaff was friendly! The man walked me to the table to show me the items I ordered and I was on my way. The aroma of the food filled my car and it was so nice I salivated on the way home. The food was just as delicious as its wonderful smell. Its hard to find reasonably priced Indian food that is delicious in Howard County. There are definitely good options in Howard County but they can cost more. House of India offers great food and each entree during the lunch hour costs between $15 - $19.

Okay I rarely post reviews but I must for House of India. I ordered the Malai kofta through door dash and added a note pleading with them to make it as mild as possible since I am incredibly sensitive to spice (for reference, taco bell mild sauce is spicy to me). the Malai kofta was PERFECT. I ate it so fast without so much as my nose running. House of India is a real one for catering to my poor white palate. I must have made them laugh bc they also included some rice pudding that I didn't order. Either that or they wanted to make sure I could cool down in case the food was still too spicy. Either way it was absolutely delicious and I will order it in the future.TL;DR House of India is absolutely amazing and they will still give you delicious food even if you can't handle spice

Great tasty Indian food. Excellent service. Wide menu variety. Overall very happy.
