Delicious! Very good service also. I had the veggie yellow curry and an appetizer of veggie spring rolls and both were very tasty! Many veg options. Food came out quickly and correctly (we did some slight customizations to our entrees) and our server was attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant decor was also very nice! Overall great experience and would return!
The decor and ambiance of this place is just beautiful. The food is great and the menu has some good Thai street food selections. Located at a city center with ample parking space. Definitely recommend it!
I wish it was possible to give more than five stars. This is a 10 star restaurant. From the moment you walk in to the moment you’re seated, you receive excellent service. As soon as you enter, you’re immediately captivated by the ambiance. The green aesthetic of the place draws you in. The food is impeccable and the drinks? outstanding. Get the lychee martini, you wont regret it. I will, without a doubt, revisit. I love this restaurant. A great experience.
So far, the best Thai spot I've tried in Maryland. I was a big fan of the green curry; it was very homestyle with a decent amount of spice. Very creamy and filled with tons of meat and veggies. I liked it much more than the Street Noodles that I got.I got to taste my friend's Dok Khao Pad Thai and I really liked it! Very flavorful & savory. Lots of notes of soy-sauce combined with sweet flavors. Definitely needs some lime to cut the heaviness!I wasn't a huge fan of the Street Noodles. I was put off by the smell; I think they put fish sauce in the noodles. It was more tangy than the Pad Thai, but definitely not better.Prices are a little high, but that's because the building & restaurant is new. The decor also seems to cater towards fine-dining sort of vibes. Service was very good.
We ordered the spring rolls, curry puffs, fried salmon rolls, hangover noodles, crab fried rice, pineapple fried rice, as well lava cake and ice cream and mango parfait for dessert. Everything was well prepared, awesome portion sizes really enough to share and still have plenty. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other dishes of which which they had a plethora to choose from and satisfy every palate.
My husband and I decided to try Dok Khao and we were NOT disappointed! From our server who offered great recommendations and photos, to the food which was absolutely delish! My favorite was the crab fried rice. The crab meat was so fresh it tasted as if someone was in the back opening crabs and placing the meat into the dish. Also, the siam chicken was great, the sweet and spicy combination was pleasantly tickling my palate. I can't wait until our next visit to try more of their delectable dishes!
Two remarkable things about this place.1, the girl came out to open the door for the senior couple. (I was secretly taking pic behind the grandpa and grandma couple holding hand, and caught this moment)2, Bathroom has candle and very clean, also there is handle over the toilet for disable and senior people.Pretty busy during weekend. Food is bit slow but yummy. interior design is all about green here. I can tell the owner is really kindhearted and lovely.
Best Thai food I have ever had! Everything tasted so fresh with so much flavor. Not to mention the inside of Dok Khao is absolutely stunning! Beautiful greenery will surround you as you indulge. We tried something outside of our comfort zone for an appetizer - the Duck roll. Very delicious with a unique plum sauce. Our waitress was attentive, even when the it picked up for the 6 oclock hour. We will definitely be back!
Few months ago when we went to Busboys and Poets, it was so crowded and the wait was an hour. We decided to visit Dok Khao instead. Since then, Dok Khao has been our favorite restaurant. We have not returned to Busboys and Poets since (even though when it was not busy).Dok Khao Thai Eatery is located by the Color Burst Park (Ice Rink during the winter) in the newly built Merriweather District in Columbia MD. It is beautifully decorated and the foods are yummy. My favorite is Pineapple Fried Rice (vegetarian version). The service has always been excellent! They are very accommodating and make the dishes based on our dietary needs. There are two TVs by the bar; yet, it is not noisy like a bar. It is great for a romantic date or a large gathering. We have found that the pricing is reasonable compared to many other restaurants (regardless of the specialties) in the Downtown Columbia area. Thai foods do not equate to cheap foods. For the quality of food and service that Dok Khao provides in the Merriweather District, we feel that it is worth every penny. We will definitely return.
This place is amazing. The interior decor is very well put together creating a fun atmosphere. Even the plating, glasses and utensils make it fun. The food is fresh and has intense flavors. We fully enjoyed the experience, highly recommend.
