Went here with coworkers for dinner and the brisket was tough as rubber. The mac and cheese was only one step above krafts and then their was hair baked into my corn muffin. It took 15 minutes to place my order and 25 minutes to get my food. Staff was not friendly and seemed depressed. Will never come back while in town and will never recommend.
Absolutely love the food and staff here. The tacos are amazing, you can't find anything else like them. They're also amazing the next day (if you have leftovers). The mac and cheese hits the spot every time, sometimes I like to throw one of their many hot sauces on it to spice things up. Also love when I'm attempting to watch my diet I can just get a "pile of meat" and it's always delicious.
I give it 4 stars because they don’t sell ribs. This place is located off the main road in a commercial business district. We ordered pull pork sandwich, chicken tacos, Mac cheese and slaw. Pork sandwich was tender on a potato roll I forgot to get sliced onions good stuff. Chicken taco was full of flavor they put alot of meat on the taco. Slaw was fresh, Mac was decent could have been cheesier. Beer pub next door convenient. It’s worth a try, we will be returning.
Nothing bullheaded about this place! I have eaten here many times since they opened next to Hysteria. I was extremely excited to have a pit beef spot next door to one of my favorite local breweries. I always get old bay fries here and the burnt end tacos, they never disappoint.
From walking in and getting hit with the yummy aroma of beef to the last bite taken, Bullhead Smokehouse is a must have. The staff works hard to make sure you enjoy the food. It's really nice to have a great food option while enjoying a beverage next door at Hysteria Brewing as well.
Convenient, but nothing special.Came here after drinking at the next-door Hysteria brewery.Ordered a burnt ends sandwich. They're hard to find. Priced seemed right for this cut of meat and came with a good amount on it. Came with Kansas BBQ sauce already on them, but got a side of the bullhead Chesapeake sauce, which was pretty good, but the burnt ends just were not the freshest I've had compared to other places I've had. Just not something I'd rush back to for. They do have a bogo Monday which sounds like a great deal if you're nearby and they're not seriously skimping on the meat.
First time here and must say food was absolutely GREAT. Plenty of flavoring the pit beef. I also had ordered a pulled brisket sanding and was equally as good ? however the Mac n cheese that I received could’ve had more flavor but it was good too. Service was great, very friendly and they were very knowledgeable about everything they offered to eat. Definitely will be coming back soon
BBQ that melts in your mouth. Definitely the best BBQ in Columbia!
DONT PUT CHEESE ON THEIR NACHOS AND WHEN ASK FOR CHEESE THEY GIVE ATTITUDE. this is literally the 5th time this has happened to me.
Was really excited to try this place, but ended up disappointed. We ordered two of the big pit beef sandwiches, garlic fries and mac and cheese. Instantly tried it when we got back to the car because we were so excited for it. The fries were very hot but just not crispy enough. Honestly these could be saved with 5min in the air fryer, but was disappointing. The pit beef was the best thing we had, but wasn't amazing. The "big" almost seemed like too much, which as a first time customer I wasn't expecting. So, if you give it a try I'd recommend the normal. That said, the bbq sauce is awesome! Would definitely buy a bottle of it if it was sold on its own. The Mac and cheese was very disappointing. We ate it within 10min leaving the store and it was lukewarm at best. For $5, I could make way more Mac and cheese of equal quality. In the end, I'm torn where to place this review. Not sure if we experienced an off night, but don't think we'll be back to try again. The staff was nice and for that I landed on a 2.
