the service was pretty quick! we went there for happy hour and we got the orange crush buckets, the crab dip and the nachos - all of them had very huge portions! the three of us barely finished the two apps !
This is a solid bar with ample screens and a good menu. The mandatory 20% gratuity at night is unfair, especially given the quality of service provided.
My nachos were tasty, but my burger was overcooked and somewhat lackluster. This place seems to care more about the drinks than the food, which isn't a big deal. It is a college sports bar so that's not surprising.
Nice atmosphere, lots of screens for sports. We had apps and drinks and the food was good- chili nachos and cream dip. We were there for happy hour and the prices were very reasonable.Our server was pleasant and helpful.I recommend Looney's in College Park for a fun night out with good appetizers.
There is nothing bad that I can say at all. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were right. The food was really good and the portions were huge. The DJ had a good mix going. It was just an awesome vibe
This Maryland crab soup was amazing! I wasn’t expecting soup from a pub to be that good, but it was. The chicken tacos and orange crushes are also really good. This location can get really busy so I wouldn’t recommend going when it’s a Friday/Saturday night or if there’s a UMD basketball/football game going on.
Recently raised prices a bit, and new servers haven’t been attentive. Last 2 times I came, my food came to me at room temp. Usually great food and always great bartenders. One of my favorites in CP.
The outdoor seating was ok, it got cold outside and I asked to move under the heater but the waitress informed me that the heater is not on. I was under the impression that the heaters are controlled by the restaurant but I suppose I was wrong. Everyone of the workers were very polite to my dog ?. They even have a sweet dog menu. Not just a bowl of water but actual grilled chicken breast.
The customer service was great ! All my friends talk about this place so I had to stop by. I Loved the crab dip plus drinks and great customer service .
Top notch for what it is: a college bar with tons of TVs and bar food. Therefore it is loud and packed. Don’t go if you don’t want to watch a game or party. You’ll end up writing a scathing Google review because you expected the wrong thing.
